Rumor: Bandai Namco co-developer of Smash for Switch

Looks like Bandai Namco is helping with development once again, and it seems to have a new rendering engine.


He claims to work in Japan at Nintendo.

He's listed as an Environment Programmer for Mario Odyssey. But it's the only game he's listed as working on.

But even if it's fake, i think it's pretty obvious Smash Switch is a new game and not a port.

I think people will be pleasantly surprised with the new Smash Bros games visuals because it's one of the few WiiU games to run at 1080p native meaning there's a lot of untapped power on Switch for everything from better character models to improved lighting and much more complex stages.

~2.5 years. March 2012 - October 2014. Didn't start till Kid Icarus was finished at the beginning of 2012.
