If true this would break 3 traditions: Horizon releasing every 2 years (this is already broken), motosport releasing before a new horizon, and both never being announced in the same year.

Where is it gonna be though? Japan? Somewhere else? I want Brazil eventually...

No way, if that game is ready for Q1 2021 then they kind of needed to show it at the showcase in the summer....

seems like too big of an announcement to do it in a random live-stream, no? there's an event in a few days that would be a way better time to do it.

The biggest disappointment here would be that it would obviously be cross-gen. I was hoping for an amazing showcase in the next one. I mean I'll still play it of course, but will have to wait for 6 for that, I guess.

I feel like they'd have advertised it already if it was coming early 2021, but it would be a good thing to show off at TGA.

yeah that seems odd. Even before Halo got delayed you'd have thought they'd have shown this more if it was launch window (which Q1 2021 definitely would be). And after Halo got delayed even more so.

Personally I want a spiritual sequel to PGR2/3 but I doubt we'll get it.

Horizon has become the bigger game hasn't it? They need a new Horizon more so than a mainline, esp. with Halo mia.

It would be a terrible idea to keep an early 2021 game quiet when the competition are boasting exclusive after exclusive and your new next gen console is being criticised for not having new software...

Like it would be crazy to not have announced this earlier, which is why I dont think it's true.

Early 21 would shock me, but technically speaking this is timed up to be accurate since it seemed like Motorsport and Horizon were on a leapfrog cadence.

They aren't going to announce a brand new game for early 2021 in some developer stream like the post suggests.

Forza Horizon 5 seems wierd given that a Motorsport is announced and isnt out yet, but it has been rumored...

They're not announcing Forza Horizon 5 in a dev stream most of us found out is happening 1 hour before.

Why would they announce a new Horizon game on a dev stream they save that for big events like E3, GamesCom and the like.

Maybe they have something better for that show? There's still that Forza/Gears/Halo mentality (and still deserved in a big way) so showcasing something else at TGA makes more sense.

My money is on a FH4 update of some kind and my dream is a PGR "third-pillar."

Nice! Racing fans are going to be eating in 2021.

I just started playing Forza for the first time on Game Pass and I'm not a fan of racing...but it's so good.

I seriously can't see them stealth announce FH5 in a monthly live stream (That likely doesn't get many viewers) a couple of days before TGA. I have to think it's most likely FH4 update. If it's related to FH5 at all I could see them maybe teasing a TGA announcement dure the stream.
