Wasn't Far Cry 5 the fastest selling game in the series....Era bubble? They've got a lot of convincing to do to show this isn't a dead franchise
I hated 5, but I found new dawn to be more fun. Maybe it was the higher focus on crafting better stuff to take on higher level enemies that got meAfter FC5, I'm not especially interested in this franchise anymore unless they change some things radically.
Gimme Gods and Monsters, Ubisoft.
If it's releasing in 2021 then it makes sense to do next gen only.
Same. I'm glad they let you pick last game, but the character being silent killed any interaction between you and the bad guy. Something that really made 3 and 4 click for me.
Agreed on the pull out bits.I love a lot about FC5 but the way the game handled pulling you out of the open world to advance story beats was trash.
4 with the gameplay improvements of 5 and a less intrusive story would be my ideal FC
I hope some day we get another Far Cry 2 without the malaria. :(I think it's going to be the opposite. I'm expecting something either fantasy or science fiction. Not that I want either of those.
Not that exotic lol.I think it's going to be the opposite. I'm expecting something either fantasy or science fiction. Not that I want either of those.

Tell us what you know :D
Ah ok then, fair enough....I agree with you on everything here anyway.I enjoy the series enough but the formula started with 3 is old at this point, and like you said I was actually severely underwhelmed by 4 until I got the helicopter which saved that game from feeling very copy and pasted from 3......5 was more of the same with a slightly different design when it came to exploration I guess.I was talking from my point of view... didn't think I needed to be that specific, but I guess that ....Era bubble?
From a design point of view the game has been going nowhere since 3 (though 4 was fun just because of the helicopter) and Primal was great cause it was in a different era, and I think a lot of people purchased 5 thinking it was going to be better than it was, it ended up being a mediocre game. New Dawn sold poorly as far as I recall and was basically a reskinned 5, they didn't even try and hide the fact.
They need to change the formula, though I guess as its a next gen game it'll probably sell well, but I feel its been going nowhere for a while. Its a shame, Ubisoft do this with all their franchises. They used to be one of my favourite games companies, not they've become so formulaic and risk adverse.
5 was great, next step should be to make the game even less linear and ditch the mandatory story missions. Build a sandbox and let players make their own story.
I hope so, leave it to next generation of systems.
If by Dinosaurs you mean Comodo Dragons or big Crocodiles sure.
The 2015 survey specifically had dinosaurs as an option. If by Dinosaurs you mean Comodo Dragons or big Crocodiles sure.
A lot of those options aren't much different from what we've gotten. 5's Montana is like Alaska, New Dawn already did post apocalyptic, 3 already covers the jungle settings, and 2 already did Africa.
I feel like I remember reading something either here or on Gaf a while ago that said that the next game would be based in Cuba. Like the leaked answers to that survey or something. Maybe somebody can cite their sources better than I can?
