The 2 of them didn't get along. At all. Constantly clashed, Theron showing up late to set etc and Hardy not understanding the role given the whole project was more a sequel to Thunderdome with a much older Gibson in mind.
Pretty sure Mad Max 5 was "The Wasteland". So any rumors claiming that it's a a Furiosa movie get big doubts from me.
Dang. Theron always seems like she could get along with any of her costars, she's so easy going in interviews.

She wasn't happy with the shoot and being in the middle of nowhere. She also cited she wasn't happy to fly off and do it since she just adopted her son and all that but contractual obligation. She only signed on for Fury Road while Hardy signed for 3 movies.

They had a whole cinematic universe plan going. Prequel, sequel, sequel to the sequel, anime, you name it.

George has constantly talked about how there are two more movies planned, which are, yeah one of em is The Wasteland, but also Furiosa, a Furiosa based origin story, sounds like we're getting Furiosa first
From what I remember, it's always been Furiosa movie first, then The Wasteland.

Seems to be happening, we just don't know for sure if Charlize or Hardy are coming back or if these casting rumors are true.
I don't think we share the same definition of a good actor.
I loved Fury Road, but like every announced prequel ever, have no interest in this.

It's worked this time too. Seems to be happening. Story boarding underway, stunt team locked, various mechanics and crew from Fury Road on board and location scouting has begun.
I like Madden but thought The Bodyguard was so average, all the praise it got really baffled me.

What's hilarious in hindsight is that the Fury Road trailer seemed to be in front of every movie I saw for a year, and every time I saw it I said, "what the f*ck is this ugly incomprehensible trash?!"

That's the irony of your post, Fury Road was a Mad Max film where he wasn't the focus. And now you're saying you don't want a Furiosa movie if she isn't the focus.
Aside from Mad Max 1, Max is never really the focus anyway. He kind of just wanders in and out of other peoples situations begrudgingly helping them out.
Plenty of "not sure if I want a mad max movie without mad max as the focus" before Fury Road came out.
