New Ridge Racer? More like Ridge Faker!
It's all starting to make senses
Ridge Racer 8 exclusive to Switch? Unless Nintendo is fronting the bill, this is pure fantasy.
But with Nintendo producers standing over their shoulders, they might really just need the man power.
It seems strange that a lead designer would miss that Ace Combat is coming to Xbox One and PC and put a previously unknown game on their projects seems irresponsible for the position.
Lmao hahahahaha this is amazing
the studio is too small to be the main dev for Prime 4 they're probably just helping out.
I totally believe this. Nintendo outsources a lot of stuff to Namco. It would make sense for an First-person game which theh don't have experience with.
I'm positive non of this is true. But I'll believe for those that want this to be true!
Maybe this is it, the new Retro
huh, that would be... unexpected?
will wait and see (the reactions could be potentially very entertaining).
What do we know about Bandai Namco Singapore?
Metroid Prime was literally Retro's first game
Also another thing to note from the job posting is that they've been working with that branch of Bandai Namco since May 2016.
BN Singapore are probably making art assets for the Japanese BN group that's putting the game/s together.
Next your telling me Nintendo's developing a Sonic game, huh?
Now I want that.
Now that I think about it, Ridge Racer 8 being Switch exclusive wouldn't be that outlandish. After all, Ridge Racer 6 was 360 exclusive.
Working on MP4 and RR at the same time would demand much more people and resources than Bandai singapure is capable right now.
Switch is lacking in the racer department for sure, beyond Mario Kart 8 Deluxe... I would not mind this
But Retro better be working on something good
Think Smash 4. Sakura and Sora Ltd led development, Namco had the workforce to realize that vision.
ridge racer ? Not being a launch title ?
Wow I need ridge racer 8
Will the shooter have real-time weapon change?!
I really don't have a good feeling for Metroid Prime 4. If it was just another new Metroid, sure, give it to Namco, whatever, but when you specifically call it Metroid Prime 4 there's a pretty distinct direction, art, and design you've set an expectation for, and to have production move not only to a different studio but all the way across the ocean, I dunno. I just have a feeling it's going to be either a really, really paint by the numbers producer driven experience or something that is very, very different.
Woot singapore !
I I have no idea what BN Singapore made.
I feel like if Ridge Racer gets funded by nintendo, the main reaction will be "Why isnt nintendo footing the bill for a new F-ZERO instead?"
We'll see if they hired some people who have worked on shooters or adventure games in the past I guess.
Sonic kart and ridge racer would be healthy sign of competition for Mario.
