Also, important to know that this event tomorrow is exactly 6 months after it released on Epic (December 16, 2021) and the Nvidia leak had FF7R releasing on PC in June 2022 (which seems to be the Steam date as it released on Epic in December 2021).

The FF7R steamdb page has been known since the game launched in EGS because as per usual, SE forgot to delete de Steam info in their games in there, so no, its not a new leak. Now, if you want to talk about it getting a new update yesterday? sure.

Standard EGS exclusivity range is 1 year max, rest is upto square for bringing it to steam.

There hasn't been any exclusive by contract thats more than a year and that isn't a lifetime exclusive(even though lifetime ones like airborne castle have come to steam later on too).

Was thinking surprised its 6 month exclusive. Usually a year at least for these things, but who knows.
Strange KH ports haven't come to steam yet though and it's been over a year.

Exactly my point. Just because it's "due" doesn't mean Square are going to do it.

They're dumb as shit on PC.

Have they put out any patches for the PC version yet? It was a pretty barebones port then I just kinda forgot about it.

Steamdb page been around for a while now. It just got updated

Don't know about the game dropping on Steam this soon. So far I haven't seen an platform exclusivity that is less than a year

If it finally comes to PC will wait the inevitable sale. No way I would pay $70 for a damn game.

If only the price goes down from $70, or at very least, SE will consider a launch sale for Steam once it is available.

Same, it's £50 on sale and £70 ($85 regularly). If it hits Steam and is less than £30 I'll bite. (I spent less on the disk for the PS4 at launch; sadly the PS4 is now dead).

We will probably not get a discount for the EGS kickback and poorer regions won't get region discounts. Add Denuvo as an extra.

I hope this isn't the same barebones port as the one on Epic Games, but it most likely is. I wonder how many people will buy it on Steam if SE still charges $70 for it.

Not many.
It is more than a year late. 80€. And the port is lackluster.
Square-Enix did their best to kill sales potential for Final Fantasy on any non PlayStation platform.
They believe they can carry on forever with the deals while shrinking their sales and userbase at the same time.
