Eagle-eyed fans of Ubisoft got a glimpse of something interesting on the Ubisoft store today, where a mysterious, out of stock item, titled Ubisoft Pass Premium, was listed on a category that doesn't otherwise exist.

unlike EA, Ubisoft releases multiple games a year im interested in and usually buy, from big budget to smaller
I'd probably bite
hmm, wonder if they'd do tier pricing or just sweeten the deal by giving all subscribers the gold version
Would be pretty dumb t sell season passes and DLC for games you are "hiring" imo.hmm, wonder if they'd do tier pricing or just sweeten the deal by giving all subscribers the gold version
The big business for EA Access comes from selling DLC to all those games, so if Ubisoft has done their homework it will very likely not include DLC, unless this thing has tiers. The big question for me when it comes to Ubisoft games: will this include all the DLC?
Already there.
EA has 3rd party games, Ubisoft stopped selling 3rd party games long time ago. That is something that goes in favor of Origin Access.
EA Access on Xbox One does not have third parties, but then again the service only costs 25 a year. Ubi can definitely do the same: an aggressive pricing to keep people away from used copies.
They offer them on PC as far as I know. So situation on PC is different so they will need to be careful about pricing.
I'm guessing PC only? It would be great if they offer it for consoles too but they probably would lose more.
Uplay has the weirdest controller support of all the launchers, because it lets you press A to launch a game, B to dismiss popups and the Home button to open the overlay, but you can't navigate the menus, so it's useless without a mouse lol. It's super half-assed.The most frustrating thing about this is that Ubisoft makes the kind of games that are best played on a big TV with a controller. But on PC their games are stuck in Uplay which does not have a Steam Big Picture style mode for TV play.
I would definitely pay that Valve 30% premium on top of the pass's price if it meant getting Steam versions of Ubisoft's games to play.
Man, I don't know why people let themselves get there. I usually just buy a single month when I want to watch or play something on a service I don't actively want to keep and that ends up being pretty good value for money.Oh I agree. They can't live in their own world thinking subscription fatigue from streaming services won't apply to sub fatigue to game services.
