I just used the ignition cart ( gives x2 for every boost pickup) and made sure I grabbed every electric pickupYeah, that last one was very difficult. I had to change the perspective which helped me drift better.

You do.Huh, I thought the day one edition was supposed to come with a fancy case?
Got my Yakuza Remastered Collection today too. The are behind the discs is really nice and love the PS3 case too.
Yeah, Online's story in retrospect is really bare bones, its basically just a brief opening that introduces a few of the same main characters, and then its basically just fighting the 4 kings in Kamurocho, with no real deep look into the characters (though Mayumi and the cop to get a brief moment to shine each). 7 is way deeper, and while it kinda follows a similar basic idea plot wise, its just way more in depth and interesting thanks to the 3 gangs in Ijincho and seeing just how everything relates to each other. Online ended on a cliffhangar, which is basically a similar point to where I am now in 7 funnily enough, but I do wonder if they'll go back and finish Ichiban's story as its sorta paper thin compared to 7's. I'd still love to know who the heck X is supposed to be though...Decided to read some of the stories of Online and they are totally different from 7. So obviously online is not canon anymore. Wonder how they can bring the Ichiban in Online closer to the one in 7.
Or are they just gonna keep doing spin-off from previous games in Online and ignore Ichiban for a while.
The only actual person that NEEDS to be brought over from Online asap is Akiyama, he's too damn good to not be used again in a major roll.
Was really sad not to even have a mention of him in the game.
Ok, made it toand while the battle music is simply reused from a previous title, I see that as the best choice as its already perfect as is. The enemies here are nicely powered up, and some of the designs are absolutely fantastic! Grabbed a couple of better weapons from the pawn shop as well. And since the hidden safe's, Tojo badges, briefcases etc. are all in attendance around the city, it gives me an excuse to explore it all over again. Also finally managed to acquire a few missing items for the completion list, which is super handy.Sotenbori
Already did. I needed it for a request anyway. But I'm very aware at how awesome it is for boss fights!
The balancing is not good. This is kinda expected though. If you are a player like do all the side stuff available at the moment first and then advance the main story, the game becomes very easy. I didn't have any tense moments in all the boss battles.
That's a huge deal. They are brutal on their reviews, so that's high praise indeed. Thanks for sharing :)It's 9/10 for Gamekult.com !
For the record, the best score they gave for older yakuza titles was a 7/10 (even Yakuza 0).
So are you supposed to grind for 3 million yen to progress the story around Chapter 11 I believe it was?

I don't nowhere near have that amount of money. Ugh, what is the best way to earn that?I was far past the 3 million mark when i reached that point thanks to the business. But yeah, you need the money.
By memory, from the main menu, you can access the smartphone and from there you will see your DLCs (middle row left icon iirc) and can redeem them iirc.
The business mini game with Eri. Its worth doing anyway for all the unlocks you get, but once you hit rank 1 you get 3 mil per run. I have around 30million at my disposal at the moment. Arena also pays out pretty decent, running all 30 floors got me something like 3mil, but depending on where you are on the story, you cant access that yet.I don't nowhere near have that amount of money. Apparently one of the kappas has a bunch of level 50 dudes guarding it, not sure if I've started the cat quest yet, and I still haven't entirely grasped the business minigame not getting a lot of money from it at the moment. You should do the business mini game already. This is the obvious point the game makes :) you get a ton of things other than money like the strongest AOE attack in the game and...Eri the beast as a party member (well for that you just need to reach the first and finish the first meeting). Game is very easy and can be finished in 2-3 hours easily.
Otherwise tons of other things that give you lots of money like finding all cats or photographing the kappas for example. I think there are more than 5 ways to get money quickly if you don't want to run the business game.
Your level should be fine, what jobs and equipment are you using? At this point you can have ultimate weapons through crafting, also job levels give way more stats than normal levels, so you should at least be close to 30 on some.So uh what level do I have to be to beat the chapter 14 boss...
Kiryu? Currently level 55 and he's smashing my face in. Already finished the arena a few times to level up but can't seem to make any head way with him. They really smashed the difficulty up with these legend bosses. Majima was a pain too
Almost everyone as their usual jobs except I got idol on sachan. As for the ultimate weapons, I'm assuming that's with the weapon creator? I unlocked the legendary weapon seller but his stuff is all awful by the time I unlocked himYour level should be fine, what jobs and equipment are you using? Yes, you need to invest three times, 2220万 overall, I think. AlsoAlmost everyone as their usual jobs except I got idol on sachan. As for the ultimate weapons, I'm assuming that's with the weapon creator? I unlocked the legendary weapon seller but his stuff is all awful by the time I unlocked him
When does Cho get the debuffs? I can't recall me unlocking those yet (or I've not paid attention to his move unlocks). I've got Ichi with the spread ice attack though, which is certainly handy.Yes, you need to invest three times, 2220万 overall, I think. Also
Level Namba as host enough to learn spread Ice, IIRC it's Kiryu's only weakness, then switch back to homeless. Use Ichi as support with his healing spells, maybe one more support with Saeko, then use Cho to debuff and Namba to damage.

Unlike Majima, Kiryu won't attack woman characters so having Sae and Eri in the party is a good strategy.
I'll be honest, never noticed that as no one really stayed alive after using those attacks to get inflicted with those status debuffs! Thanks for the heads up!Almost all his standard blunt skills have debuffs as side effects, make sure to read the full descriptions.
See, I was thinking of doing this but technically wouldn't that mean he'd be more likely to attack Ichiban, which in turn may make it harder as if he's KO'ed its game over?Unlike Majima, Kiryu won't attack woman characters so having Sae and Eri in the party is a good strategy.
