Ryan Coogler Calls 'Black Panther' the James Bond of the MCU
T'Challa will have his own Q in Letitia Wright's Shuri who comes up with creative state-of-art gadgets and stuff for the king to use against Killmonger.
Where Captain America: The Winter Soldier would transition from its action scenes into a political thriller, Black Panther will have gadgets, car chases and love stories that will make it feel much more like a Bond movie.
I really wonder what kind of technology we will see in the movie. We have seen sound-wave blasters, and T'Challa's suit is bulletproof, can make him stick to walls so he can wall-run, it got build in night-vision. It can conform to his body out of nowhere. In the country there's zero-rail trains, houses that are surrounded by probable bulletproof glass and we will probably see technology build into people's clothes. Have we seen any other tech from the trailers? What are those devices Black Panther throws at the vehicles when he jumps off the plane? Were those tracking devices or bombs?
"When I first started talking to Marvel, one thing they were interested in was for Panther to be their version of James Bond, which I thought was incredibly interesting and exciting," Coogler said. "It was a really outside-of-the-box way to look at T'Challa. There are some Bond films that I really, really like, and it gave me the opportunity to go watch some other ones."

"Yeah, why not? She's T'Challa's Q. She's by his side with the technology he needs. The way she helps him is really cool," Wright said.
"I hope Shuri can help people. Maybe you're in school right now, and super smart and super intelligent, and people may be saying, 'You're a geek,' or whatever, making them feel bad. Maybe they can watch this film and be like, 'Man! Being smart or a scientist or super great at math is not a bad thing at all.'"
