You cannot stop that allusion. That 3 finger salute is indeed the only hint we have with Crash, the only video game character with a long history who has 3 fingers.
Its possible he drops a trailer at the end. Terrys video specifically said they would only be showing off Terry. This doesnt do that.
And what about the salute Sakurai is doing?

It's gonna be a presentation/walkthrough like the Hero/Banjo/Terry videos, the difference being the character is going to be revealed here.
We don't know the release yet but we will likely find out there. The previous characters (along with Joker who got a more scripted walkthrough) shadowdropped shortly after their video releases.
But it's the only way to get some Mahvel-heads to play Smash. Sacrifices must be made!
