Pretty much looks like MS is ditching the Windows Store for this launcher/storefront. I pretty much expect them to have this app collaborate with Steam and have some things like Xbox Connect/MS Connect similar to GOG connect where you can add Win10 version of games to your launcher if you own them on Steam since they are emphasizing on user choice a lot. Considering they've done a 180 on their controlled walled garden that was the windows store i expect them to make some big consumer friendly announcements on this front.
