So I noticed the s10e's display and colors weren't as lifelike and vibrant as my s8+ no matter how much I altered their settings. Should I assume the s10 and plus have the higher quality displays? I'd go for the 10e if the display looked as good.
I think there was a side-by-side comparison that indicated the same thing. Though given I don't have any other phone to compare it to, it doesn't honestly matter.

All the phones are internal storage with a SD card slot should you wish to make them bigger

The 1TB phone can go upto 1.5TB with a 500gb card. Not sure they will support the new 1tb cards yet.

What the fuck anyone needs that much room on a phone for though is beyond me.
lt'll support the 1TB cards just fine more than likely. Only reason why they list a specified size is because the larger SD cards weren't commercially available. the 1TB cards are SDXC just like all of the cards the S10 works with.

Anyone needing that much space is probably planning on using DeX as a desktop replacement, either with Android or Linux. Or even a Windows port down the line.

That, or they have a lot of porn.

It's not that the display is worse on the S10e, it's that Samsung toned down it's artificial coloring and contrast and defaults to something more natural instead of the usual vivid mode. And the vivid mode is toned down compared to the S8 and S9.

I have the 1TB model, the main reason I bought it is because it had 1TB which I thought was hilarious.

Bought a cheap USB-C to HDMI/USB/SD-Hub to try out the Dex stuff.
It's pretty nice. Connects with my wired mouse+keyboard without issue. It drains the battery like crazy though. Haven't tried yet if I can charge the phone over the hub.

Not sure in what case it's actually useful to me but It's cool to always have a desktop PC experience in my pocket.
It's weird that Samsung doesn't seem to advertize it at all anymore especially with the 512gb/1TB storage models existing. A lot of people probably don't even realize their phone can do that.

I did the same thing recently and I too can't believe how underrated a feature it is.

Like, why the hell is nobody talking about the fact that I can buy a 15 quid dongle and turn my phone into an android PC??? Even Samsung barely acknowledge it.

I can't wait to get annoyed as fuck when the inevitable complaining about slow Samsung android updates when everyone starts raving about how Android Qs supposed "desktop mode".

Also, use a wireless charger to keep it charged while using DeX and you're good to go.

Because when am I going to use it when I got my PC with me?

It's for the future where nobody owns their own laptops or computers and only carry around their phones but we're not there yet.

That makes sense then. Thank you. I was wondering why the colors looked different and was stumped, I'm fine with that change really. I just was curious as to what caused it.

Is there a way to get the camera app to brighten the screen automatically without having auto brightness on in display settings?

I must be missing something. Youtube picture in Picture does not seem to be working( S10+). I have enabled it in the App settings, but I cant find the option to enable it in Youtube settings.

Anyone else having this problem?

Yeah I had that problem previously too, but it turns out that if you set the bottom bar as gestures YouTube doesn't do PnP for some weird reason.

So that's honestly pretty impressive. I didn't want to sink those hours in the game so I just let it run last night to see how the battery does. Internet browser usage seems a bit high though no? Its using more than the game technically

Exynos here too

So are we in the clear now why the European S10 battery life sucks? Exynos?

Or is it even true? Maybe it's getting better after some time?

If you use the home gesture it goes into PnP.

2nd update? did you get one on the 8th?

I had a day 1 update which I read was supposed to fix finger print issues. It was still kind of iffy though.e

EDIT: whoops, I just checked the date of this and it says release date 03-09-2019...

I have the unlocked version. So I'm already getting the late updates as per usual with the unlocked version, lol

I just tried it, and it doesn't. Is it possible that it is not working because I use Nova Launcher?
Impossible.

I say this because I've been using Nova Launcher since the S6 and have achieved PiP in both the official Youtube app and modded Youtube apps with no issue, both without tinkering with any app settings to achieve it.

You need either Youtube Premium or a modded Youtube app for picture in picture.

I have UK plus and the battery isn't lasting nowhere near the same as some I have seen in this thread. Will probably be the last Samsung I buy if they don't have the same specs across the board when it comes time for me to upgrade.
Bummer. Someone earlier showed some great stats, though. A lot of conflicting results going around regarding the S10 Exynos.

Oh well, the Huawei P30 looks pretty great, too.

Samsung have been using different chips across the world for some time now.

Not that I have any fucking clue why. Surely it has to be simpler to just use one chip.

Reddit posting about the S10 and S10+'s inability to recognize if the phone is in pocket or not.

Damn, the S10E really is the best of the bunch.

Hmmm, getting a bit worried.
I upgraded my S9+ to the S10+ on the Upgrade Programme, but they still haven't sent me a return pack for my S9.

Just delayed, if you're worried call them.

Mine this year came 2 days after the phone, last year it was like 10 days.
I contacted the Live Chat and they said not to worry and that it can take up to 7 working days after you receive the phone to get the return pack.
I'm on holiday all next week, but hopefully it'll be there waiting for me on Saturday 23rd and I can get it sent back straight away.

How many of you with the S10e have the 8gig version? I saw a few reviews saying the 8gig vs 6gig difference shouldn't be very noticeable but I wasn't sure if it would matter. Is it better to just save the money and get the base model with an SD card for most people's use cases?

I went for the 256GB/8GB. I already have a 200GB SD card from my S7 which I use for media so I can keep all the games on the phone.

It's like my PC. Games on SSD, media on HDD/externals.

I have the 6gb and always have near 2gb available ram with 2 browsers, tumblr, and youtube running.

Still haven't been able to claim the buds. Vodafone still haven;'t provided me with the proof of purchase I require and Samsung have given me until Tuesday to supply the proof or my claim will be denied. Fucking pissed off with both of these companies.
