I don't pick up many games day one these days, but I am going to pick up a physical copy of this tomorrow. Always loved the Samurai Shodown series and this looks like a labour of love, graphics wise anyway.
I can live with it being light on SP content at the start for these graphics and online play.
(Need to pick up Mortal Kombat 11 too at some point. That looks like a cracker too.)

Watched some reviews just now, it looks amazing in motion. I like everything about it bar the lack of Neinhalt Sieger, lol.
Uh the style lf the game looks a lot like the V Special character portraits.I wish this game kept the series' signature translation style...

If I pick up the game tomorrow, it'll be for the X. Still debating if I should pick it up or not.

So, no idea yet how the season pass can be redeemed? If I get this tomorrow and play it on my roommate's PS4, is the season pass gonna go to him? Weird that they didn't include a code in the box or something like that.

No idea on penalties yet. Online has a team battle mode that lets each chara in a team of up to 3 be controlled by unique players. If no others, one person can play all 3.
Eh, fighting ex layer had options only accessible on psn through it's in game store link. Will likely be similar here too. I moreso wonder if it'll be handled the same on each platform.

Amazon finally informed me of when my copy will arrive. It'll come on the 26th, so Wednesday. A tad unfortunate, but that's fine. I guess that's why they discounted the game by $10, 'cause they weren't doing release day shipping.
My copy still hasn't updated its shipping date but reading this gives me hope that it will be updated soon. I wonder why they dropped the ball with this game.
Excited for this new Samurai Showdown, but a bit worried about the PC population without Crossplay support. Blazblue Cross Tag, Soul Caliber, and other online fighter populations seem to depress sharply after launch on PC. Feels like it already happened for MK11's PC matchmaker. Wish more developers and publishers would seriously consider supporting crossplay for their competitive multiplayer titles... especially if utilizing Unreal Engine with the feature already included.

Just a heads up, it's looking like the DLC Character Pass is on EU PSN stores and you just add it to your account. Not sure if you "need" to have played the game to add it to your account...
I've been checking for the last month, but I don't think many stores even got copies for instore pickup. It's looking like Gamestop will be the only retailer stocking physical Xbox copies as Walmart doesn't even have same day pickup
I've had it since Friday, thanks to finding a local store that broke street date - I'm loving it. It's my first SamSho, but it gives me something that other FGs just... lack? Like, it's not better than others, but it's different and I love that. Very, very happy with it!

Nah there's a few ghosts already, but they don't seem to really get distance, they act like blind dudes
My PS4 overheated during a match and shut down, when I got back to the game, I got a warning about penalties if I disconnected again !
From the main menu, access to your store and the Pass is there. With 2 retro skins, for Hao and Nakoruru.
How much do you expect the ghosts to learn before the game has even launched :p

Gotta take a wait and see approach with this feature, it will need time to adjust itself (i.e. if it is actually learning and functioning as expected).

Darli's kit is great fun, and until people get used to fighting her it's gonna be great to see folks eat her attacks.
How's the netcode? Didn't see anyone talk about it on this page. Could have overlooked it though.

"The netcode for Samurai Shodown 7 is Delay based. Rollback Netcode is better but you can't blame SNK for that because netcode will not fix your crappy fisher price mega blocks connection. Before a match you can see the opponent's location and connection quality. You can press triangle to cancel the match before character selection if it is unfavorable."
Haven't other games figured out how to distinguish rage-quits from crashes and other technical issues?
