Fuck yeah. As I said earlier, Saudis already hate our guts, so it isn't like we give a shit about how they feel.Apparently Canada swayed the Thai government a bit. Also she seems to want to come to Canada which I am all for to stick it to the Saudis
It's official. She has been given refugee status.

Brilliant news. I'm surprised and impressed by Thailand's response to the situation.
Whatever it was, a girl's life was spared, and I think that is deserving of praise.Lets be honest, this was purely optics. They were fully prepared to put her on a plane back to Kuwait.
Well, the Saudis will still probably find a way to get to her once everything settles down (pulling a Khashoggi or some shit like that).
But in the mean time, i'm glad for her and hope she'll be able to live her life peacefully.
Doubting she's going to be walking into any Saudi consulates TBH
Yes. But they could still try to kidnap her or something. Dictatorial governements of this sort don't really restrain themselves to their consulates. Ask the Russians and their poisoning spree.
I think the logistics of sending a Saudi wetwork team to Australia are uh, formidable.
Well, hopefully you're right. My cynical self isn't so sure of that.
Keep in mind she's up against her Saudi family not the Saudi royals, and her family would very likely be unable to find her in a continent the size of Australia let alone send assassins.
Yes, but one could say that she caused "shame" to the country, wich some religious nutjobs living in Australia (or not) could want to "punish" her for bringing all of this into the spotlight.
