Haha that's not what I'm saying, just this thread sure is a different tune then other Republican based threads
Black people are conservative. We got Christianity whipped into us. The younger generations are slowly getting liberal I hope but I still have cousins too conservative for my liking.

I don't understand your logic.
Why does she, as a freshman Congresswoman, need to expand her caucus when we're talking about her specific district? Her constituents will judge her based on her benefit towards her specific district. I don't know what that has to do with expanding her caucus.
AOC is great
centrist primary challengers won't take her out
a fucking republican running for a seat in NYC sure as fuck won't take her out
question is when aoc is ready to run for prez
Yeah it's a shame. My generation is hit or miss when it comes to lgtbq people but the older gen forget it. My mom wants gay folks to be sent to a prison island smh. This is the main problem. Me mum talking about LGBT people...well let's just say she's not exactly enlightened.
True, I just find it a subdued amount of vitriol compared to usual *shrug*
Why do y'all care about some random internet dudes explanation on why they don't like somrone?
In what way was that poster's replies in this thread "healthy skepticism"?Why do you like her other than she openly shits on Trump and the Democratic leadership.
What's she actually accomplished?
Personally, I think AOC is the future, but this whole piling on people who have healthy scepticism is pure hypocrisy.
The poster said that the challenger is "not wrong" about AOC. I was wondering if the poster could elaborate. Why are you crying about that? Why do y'all care about some random internet dudes explanation on why they don't like somrone?
Half is. Reps are 2 years, Senators are 6.
It comes off as too fake. If she was being truthful, she would understand the stance that AOC has taken, and she would understand what the GOP stands for. If she was being truthful, she would not be taking selfies with Trump. It is totally fake. Hopefully the people in that district are smart enough to see through it.She's not wrong about AOC, in my opinion. I doubt she has a shot at winning but that was a good ad.

This tweet will age well in AOC's district:
Good luck with that, tool.
People don't get this. It's why most older black folk don't fuck with lgbt.Black people are conservative. We got Christianity whipped into us. The younger generations are slowly getting liberal I hope but I still have cousins too conservative for my liking.
What happened this week?

She must be doing well for herself professionally because it seems like losing elections is a top hobby.
"There's a crisis in Queens and it's called AOC," the Republican said, referring to Ocasio-Cortez by her initials. She said the freshman Democrat "seeks celebrity & publicity" and "thinks public service is not about serving the public, but herself."
Murray said she had experience building bridges "between constituents in our community and the elected officials that represent them, between different nationalities and races, and between political parties." She said Ocasio-Cortez instead favored conflict and criticized her for her role in driving Amazon to abandon its plans to build a second headquarters in New York.
I read your post then saw this segment. Compare the young black dude at 30sec mark with the older black woman at 2:20sec where she calls him out. 😬
Council Speaker Corey Johnson asked Huseman, would Amazon allow its workers to unionize without interference? "No, we would not agree to that," Huseman replied.

Trump made racist comments against 4 congress women. What happened this week?
Either I haven't kept up as well as I intended or there're too many shit going on I can't connect this to a specific thing.

Ah yes, I've just been reading through this and the fallout threads. There's even a colbert vid that jumped out at my recommendation lol. So it was this after all...yeah, kinda curious what she thought of being told to go back to Jamaica by her own party.
Yup. Lots of Latinos are extremely religious and accordingly will vote against LBGT rights, against abortion, and so and so on.You guys do realize some minorities vote Republican? The African American vote is only around 8% but the Latino vote is significantly higher. I believe Trump got 30% or so, which is pretty damn high after the campaign he ran.

I'm 100% sure you're wrong.
Black people in general are conservative, most of us however just know better than to shuck and jive for people who have guns aimed at us.Me nah with this.
Is it just my anecdotal experience or do a lot of Jamaicans tend to lean conservative?
She said the freshman Democrat "seeks celebrity & publicity" and "thinks public service is not about serving the public, but herself."
Really sad to hear. The historical global dominance of Catholicism is really messing with us in the long run. This is anecdotal evidence but, a large number of Jamaican immigrants are currently upset with Democrats and AOC for their support of gay and trans rights. It's pushing many Caribbean immigrants to the right when it comes to those issues. In a sense they've been redpilled since the 2015 Supreme Court decision.
