Kepler is the first global publisher co-owned and run by creators and in 2022 it saw the hugely successful launches from founding studios Ebb Software (Scorn) and Sloclap (Sifu). The multi-award-nominated Sifu sold more than 1 million copies in its first three weeks and has since surpassed 2 million global sales ahead of its arrival on Xbox and Steam later this month.

I knew Sifu had done pretty well, but glad to hear that Scorn is also considered successful. I'd really like to see Ebb do more.

One is getting a physical release on Xbox, hoping for the other to have one to add to my collection as well

That's great! Both really interesting games that brought something new. I didn't finish Sifu but I loved Scorn.

And they got a big chunk of money up from from Microsoft for Gamepass on both. Great business decision.

Sifu is one of the very best games to come out last year. I always say that if it came out in 2021, it would've been my GOTY by a country mile.

Sifu is so good, my favorite game of last year. Hoping the arena content coming soon is fun.

Scorn was alright even if the ending was a bit odd, I'd say a 6/10 great atmosphere with some truly stunning graphics but not enough to make it a great game.

Haven't played Sifu but I did play Scorn.

Scorn is a… acquired taste. I enjoyed it and it has some amazing atmosphere and art direction. I can totally get why someone wouldn't like it though.

I was enamored with Scorn up until they introduced the enemies. And yes I get they were also "puzzles." I didn't enjoy them at all, and it didn't help that whenever they appeared my FPS just tanked.

From an art and sound design standpoint though that game is beyond reproach.

Great news. They had a hugely succesful first year and i can see them going on with Flintlock/Tchia in 2023 (and their newly published games from their new internal division like Eternights). Kleper is gonna grow quite a lot in the next few years. Such unique games, too.

Haven't played Scorn (yet) but Sifu was incredible. Hope this means some sort of continuation is in the works.

I'm happy an experimental arthouse horror game like Scorn was commercially successful. I'd love to see what more they could make.

Damn you're not wrong, that's a hell of a line-up.

Great to hear about Scorn, I played that at the perfect time and it put me in one of the most satisfying head spaces a horror game can manage to do. Gorgeous art and atmosphere. I hope Ebb Software can build on that universe and hopefully not take nearly as long for the followup. Was convinced Scorn was gonna be vaporware at a certain point, glad that didn't happen.

Really loved Scorn and it was one of those unique unforgettable experiences of my life.
