I'm not sure why they'd shrink the sticks. They do realize tiny analog sticks are terrible to use and cause blistering, right?

At first, I thought that the hole in the front was the USB-C and got scared, but then I saw one the back and everything was fine.

I like the trackpad. I assume they need it for the PS4 BC for older games that use it.

Sweet, looks same, but a little bigger.

And lightbar gone. Guess the people that were saying that was needed for VR were talking shite then

Not seeing the point of smaller sticks, but it's one of those things that should be tried before judged. Otherwise looks like a very safe controller. Surprised they bothered with the touchpad, still.

Keeping the touchpad makes sense for backwards compatability. It's handy for FF14 so I'm glad it's still there.

Are the sticks actually smaller or is the controller just bigger? Looks a bit larger and more winged in nature.

Tweet fails to mention that the patent these images are from talk about a microphone built into the controller.

For BC why not just make the PS4 controller compatible? Not that I mind the touchpad.

Looks like they're splitting the difference between PlayStation and Xbox controllers in terms of shape. Those handles especially have much more of a taper now.

Well, that's a dual shock, for sure. It lets me hope DS4 will be compatible with PS5, I hate mandatory accessory upgrades because "features".

They probably kept the trackpad for BC (for the two games that used is as more than just a button).

And it will be excellent for navigation on PC. :)
