I find this news very pleasing.Tomorrow afternoon they will be announcing more details on the title lineup. They also confirmed that M2 will be adding new features/modes/content into games like they did for the Sega 3D Ages stuff on 3DS. Thunderforce IV is currently playable at the event today.
+1I'm not happy, I'm actually pissed. How many times do I have pay for god damn Genesis Sonic the Hedgehog games? If they want to bring some classics to Switch they should have brought Dreamcast HD titles as some have never appeared on a Nintendo or handheld platform.
Switch continues to disappoint me, third party wise.
Is this the updated Phantasy Star? I don't think we have gotten that west yet.
Hope with the Switch having beefier hardware than the 3DS they dip into more recent, 3D titles. Iirc they wanted to port games like Virtua Racer but system specs were a concern.
Sega has waaay more than 15 classic games.
I REALLY hope we actually get Saturn, Dramcast, and later arcade games from like Model 1, 2, 3, NAOMI, etc.
Now THIS would be something. And if people say that M2 modifies the games to get the best possible version, they could make a port of the arcade version with all the content from VR Deluxe (32X).Yes please. I really hope we do get Virtua Racing this time around.
Really hope this means they'll release arcade games that never got ports. Maybe something like Planet Harriers. But glad that it's not just more Genesis titles.
What a bizarre reaction. You dont have to pay for anything if you dont want to. Plenty of people want these games.
What do you mean? Like that it won't be an HD remake, but more of a directly emulated release? Either way, I don't see why that would be the case. It makes no sense.Random thought I had; what if the reason Shenmue isn't coming to Switch right now is because it'll eventually be here as a more straight-up DC game?
No the reason Shenmue isn't on the Switch is because Shenmue 3 isn't going to be on the Switch. It's pretty simple.Random thought I had; what if the reason Shenmue isn't coming to Switch right now is because it'll eventually be here as a more straight-up DC game?

Except a HD port of shenmue games...Man, first all those Neo Geo releases, and now these Sega classics? Seems like the Switch has virtually everything someone could want in a console.
(Will buy.) :(
How so? How is trading a large package of games for a reasonable price for buying the same said games individually any kind of "worth it"?
- They've already said there's going to be a mix of Genesis, Master System and Arcade stuff, so that's already two more platforms than said large package and not as much overlapHow so? It's like the difference between buying a discount bundle of 5-6 old movies on DVD from a generic distributor, and buying one Criterion Collection release at the same price or more. How so?
