Reminder that Persona 5 came to casinos before the Nintendo Switch and Joker is in Smash. lol
God I wish they picked a better rep for Atlus in Smash.
If Sega places a building in Las Vegas like Konami it's all over
profitable?
you really think people would acknowledge reality rather than use any excuse to dunk on a company?Y'all would be surprised to know how many pachislot games there are like this that never get any press because people don't need them as an excuse to be mad at a publisher.
the existence of said promo would be proof enough, no?I understand the point of making these machines in the first place cause they draw the attention of fans in the casino, or advertise the game to casino-goers.
But making a promo video like this for a themed slot machine is such a bizarre concept to me. Is there someone out there actually hyped by this? Is someone excited to go out and gamble on the Persona 5 for Reels™ slot machine specifically?
finally hanging with the big boys like House of the Dead and Jet Grind RadioFor better or for worse I feel like this is a sure sign that the game is codified as culturally significant.
This shit is not mutually a Konami thing. Reminder that Capcom made Onimusha pachislots. And one even got a console port, by none other than Sega Sammy. We even had a Bayonetta pachislot before Bayonetta 3 and don't get me started on how Kaiji season 3 is a pachislot.
Because that's what fans of the game want - fucking slot machines.
Konami released one of the top three selling games in Japan last year. It's expected. Sega Sammy does dabble in casinos too.
Atlus still makes games so it's nothing like Konami.
it's not MGS or Silent Hill so it doesn't countKonami released one of the top three selling games in Japan last year.
A game that won't get localized. Unless the people behind Train Simulator fund it with all their insane DLC money.Konami released one of the top three selling games in Japan last year.
That doesn't mean anything, it still sold over 3 million copies. Nearly 4 million at that.A game that won't get localized. Unless the people behind Train Simulator fund it with all their insane DLC money.
For better or for worse I feel like this is a sure sign that the game is codified as culturally significant.
And unlike Konami, at least it's still been a steady drip of what appears to be well-received content outside of pachislot-only relevance. The Animation was a bit of a bust, but seems people enjoyed Royal and Strikers. In other words, feels like pachislot is absolutely fine when the series doesn't feel effectively relegated to pachislot-only relevance.
if this is gonna boil down to "i don't like it, it doesn't count" then there's no point to this argument
I don't know, something about their most popular character from their most popular game being in Smash makes sense...Reminder that Persona 5 came to casinos before the Nintendo Switch and Joker is in Smash. lol
God I wish they picked a better rep for Atlus in Smash.
Persona 5 Royal is one of my favorite JRPGs and I'm utterly sick of hearing about it now. We got slot machines now? Cool, cool. Ok. Looking forward to next bit of information about the IP in the form of pencil cases, hot air balloons, gas station pump handles, napkins, NFTs, home appliances, and maybe even a cross-collaboration with Butterfingers. Let's just do literally whatever comes to mind until it's fully saturated into everything and then we move on to the next title. Because that's what fans of the game want - fucking slot machines.
