Yeah, if you find a stream, DM would be nice. I'm searching but the only one I found got killed quick.
I forgot what R2 did exactly but I don't think this game has your traditional light and heavy hits with R1 and R2.
It looks like auto hide partial shows your quickslot item and your health, while "show always" also shows your souls (or whatever) and another number I've not quite understood on the right side of the screen.
It does have other effects and tie ins with the story, you can do a quick google to find out.
R2 is for Prosthetic weapons IIRC. You can do a charged attack by holding R1, and special attacks (don't know if you have any yet) are R1 and L1 simultaneously.

Interesting... sounds like 4k output might have higher res and locked framerate then (if it feels typical). Kinda hope that's the case honestly since I prefer framepacing issues to bad unlocked framerates.
You mean the white emblems? You consume them to use your prosthetic weapons.
I think Vaati or some other streamer said you could do the L1+R1 attacks a la GoW: hold L1, then press R1.

That's disappointing. Here I was thinking maybe they made this game with a new engine. They should really get with the times and realize that bad performance is unacceptable these days. :/
Damn, so performance hasn't improved from the Pro build DF got to play. I'm worried it doensn't perform that much better on the X. I need to see a framerate comparison right now.
Yeah that initiates combat arts. But you need to learn & equip them.

I'm ready to play this, but I gotta wait a bit to find a used copy since I refuse to give Activision any money. Hardest part will be avoiding spoilers once everyone gets into it.
Same. I just beat Bloodborne (and the DLC) last week and I am so hyped to play this along with everyone else.
I'm so fucking hyped about the lore on this thing. Giant creatures, special blood, warring factions. I want to get into it all so bad.

Same. As fantastic as Bloodborne was, it was a shame playing it already knowing about the gradual cosmic horror shift. Really looking forward to play a From game and experience the discoveries and secrets along with the community
First few weeks after release of a From Software game is the best thing in gaming. People find new secrets every day, lore videos everywhere, new boss strategies get found... You're gonna love being part of it
Anyone find any good PC deals? Cheapest I've seen from authorized sellers seems to only be around $55.
