September 2019 NPD (U.S. Hardware) Predictions - Closes Tuesday, October 15th

Are you still adamant that the result is going to be any different than the Pal/EMEAA charts have already indicated?
Are you expecting same results for an Xbox exclusive on USA and EMEAA?
I'm expecting it to generate the least amount of revenue out of all the games in the Gears series besides Gears Pop. I'm expecting it to chart below Borderlands 3, NBA 2K, Zelda Link's Awakening, Ghost Recon Breakpoint, Destiny Shadowkeep .

FFVIII would definitely chart if the chart was measured in units and not revenue. I could see it charting just outside the top 10. Spyro is a bit more tricky, I would the Switch/PC release to cause it to chart below FFVIII, I could be wrong.
Chart position isn't the important thing especially if all the games that charted ahead of it all did gangbusters. However I'm predicting a significant drop off in revenue from Gears 4. Which if recall correctly actually sold less than Gears Judgment in its launch month.
sure, charts aren't everything, but for a title like gears, it's also a question of prestige.
especially being beaten by a refurbished zelda should hurt.
Hurt who, Microsoft, no they would have calculated this when the decided to push Gamepass hard. Fans of Gears/Xbox maybe.

We don't even how many subs the have period, let alone have a regional breakdown. If I recall correctly they had at least at one time more than 2 million I believe.

The September 2019 NPD gaming report is in, and sales continue to decline as the current generation comes to an end. But Take-Two had a good month.

Mario Maker 2 was June. Zelda was the same day as the Switch Lite.

Correct. Dropping the lowest 2 for the year starts with this month (top 7/9 for annual), and stays at that level through December. Annual is top 10 of 12 monthly scores.
not to sound impatient, but when do we find out the top predictor for this month? just wondering! :)
IDC (estimates) is the main (only?) source people use for saying PS3 ended up selling 360 (which I dont agree with). So I guess now they are suddenly not credible again? They were never credible IMO, nor any "source" guesstimation analyst firm/whatever that doesn't credit NPD/GFK/Famitsu. I mean I remember when people claimed EA LTD hardware figures were ironclad, then one year they estimated Xbox sold less than just the NPD sales alone that we had for that year, so that was the end of that...

Since not all the results are public, no numerical results are shown here. Also, the rankings are just a counter, so if two users are tied, it is not reflected in these results. To prevent backing out the numbers, only the monthly results for the top 3 predictors are shown. Annual results are still full results, though.

Suggests Switch was towards the lower end of the 428k-528k range (or thereabouts).
Why? Isn't the first one just there because it's the first prediction and the other two were the closest two to it? Or am I not understanding the "just for fun" prediction result correctly?
