Seth Rogan States He Doesn't Plan To Work With James Franco in the Future

Despite the allegations, Rogen has said in past interviews that he would continue to work with Franco — but Rogen says that has now changed.

“I also look back to that interview in 2018 where I comment that I would keep working with James, and the truth is that I have not and I do not plan to right now,” Rogen said.

Rogen confirmed that it is “not a coincidence” that his professional relationship with Franco seems to have come to an end, and said that the allegations have affected their personal friendship as well.

“I don’t know if I can define that right now during this interview,” Rogen said of their friendship. “I can say it, um, you know, it has changed many things in our relationship and our dynamic.”

Considering these 2 have been working together since they were teenagers and have been virtually inseparable on film. This is pretty huge.

I was looking at the replies and thought "uh, that's all it took?". Then realized this isn't JOE Rogan.

What has Rogen done wrong? Honest question, he's always come off as a decent guy to me but maybe I'm ignorant of something
Sorry, I got angry for a split second and just "mouthed off" there.

From what I understand: I just don't like his liberalism and him working with CIA/FBI intelligence for some of his films.

It comes off... Well, just shameful, in my eyes.

I don't hate him or even dislike him, but I just feel that he's a Hollywood type through and through. Also, I genuinely don't like his work, ahahaha.

But yes, I lost my cool there.

Frankly, the problem with Hollywood is that we have too many people that are liberals and not leftists, to put it mildly; they're content with how things are, for the most part, even if they sometimes shine a light on the "ills of society" or something.

Anyways, rant over.

Sorry that I startled some people; I don't mean to be some guy that's just out to "shock" people, but honestly, I just don't have much patience for the rich and celebrities, and Seth must've at least known Franco personally to some level so... Idk. Guess I just lost my cool.

My apologies.

Did you confuse him with Joe Rogan...?
I hate Joe Rogan, but no.

Frankly, I more confused him with most celebrities. Well, maybe he's not like the rest, but I genuinely don't like rich people even though life is more complicated than my hatred against the rich and powerful so... Yeah. Sorry. Lost my cool, probably over nothing.

It's all good, I've been there before lol. I was legitimately just curious if I missed something big on Rogen because I don't stay super up to date on the latest Seth Rogen news.

From what I recall, Seth Rogan is actually a real one. I think he spoke out against Israeli Apartheid a while ago very forcefully when most celebraties were burying their heads in the sand.

Given their history I'm sure this has been difficult for Seth, but good on him. He had to come to terms with his best friend being a monster.

Yeah I mean this is still good of Rogan to actually change his mind but I'd say it's maybe too little too late. I'm sure he's known what Franco has been up to for years and did nothing and even actively tried to sweep Franco's bad behavior under the rug for Disaster Artist.

Pretty huge. It’s disappointing that Franco turned out to be... that. The Disaster Artist was really good, had a lot of Oscar buzz, then that story came out and poof. It was his best movie, but he had to be a massive creep, and I don’t think he ever gave an actual apology either. I remember an interview on a late night talk show where he basically only commented on the less disturbing side of the story and completely dodged the underage part.

got 'em

Yeah, that's definitely not a good look. A producer isn't necessarily super wired into what's happening on-set, but it would be tough to believe that he wouldn't have gotten wind of anything.

This is why leftists have trouble getting taken seriously. Because of people like you who call someone evil because they feel like it.

This is better than nothing but it's also kinda soft. Like say specifically that Franco is a predator and that NO ONE should work with him.

Surprised. Usually comedians go to bat for each other no matter the accusations

Yeah it doesn't really even get into any details or really even condemn any of Franco's actions.

It's just an easy out "our relationship has become strained and I won't work with him any more"

At least he has some morals and doesn't prioritise a long time friendship to hand wave the dangerous aspects of the other person.
