Remember when this forum was created and the first week or so was filled with the sentiment of: "hey whatever your political stance is, you can join in the discourse as long as you are respectful"? Yeah, that didn't last very long lol.

I would say Trump supporters sure, but not a blanket conservative ban. Next thing you know it would be people asking for moderate bans.
Because they are never going to open their hearts and mind to actual civil discourse. You'll never be able to turn them from their racist and sexist ways.
They'll never come to the table in good faith. They're in it to "own the libs".

There should never be a ban on "types of people", but actions. Hate the sin, love the sinner and all that.
I think a place like Era should have original discussion about that question, rather than simply relying on the judgment of a porn subreddit. While saying that you support Trump means you're saying you support a racist, sexist, transphobic, anti-LGBT, anti-abortion bigot, you aren't BEING any of those things by saying that. And that complicates the question.
I assume you WOULD be banned here for saying that you support a neo-nazi. So is Trump a Neo-nazi? What if you say you support Jair Bolsonaro (The President of Brazil)? What if you say you support Narendra Modi (The Prime Minister of India)? Or Boris Johnson (The Prime Minister of UK)? Or Putin (The President of Russia)? There are plenty of bigoted world leaders.
I feel that this discussion is important, regardless of whether it leads to any changes in mod policy on Era.
Nah, man. I had quite a few conservative values when I joined up on the old forum, mostly relating to how tax money is used and lack of class consciousness, but over time that faded and I broke the spell of the talk radio babble that filled my head for years during my time there.
This was obviously a different time, 2007, but if someone is on the fence their opinions and beliefs could shift. If someone comes in here spouting hateful rhetoric, however, they definitely have to go.

No one should be banned from a forum just cause they're from another political party or what not.

nah they aren't but most of the time when they decide to post, it's always something really dumb like dismissing racism or sexism, and that shit eventually leads them to perma bans.
They can't stop posting dumb shit.
