Trans people can have a category.

The problem is going for lesbian category and not seeing a woman fucking a woman, or going to a woman doing blowjobs and not seeing a woman doing a blowjob.

Making trans women exclusive to a trans categories means the site is saying we are not women

Trans people should be included in the standard men and women categories because they are men and women.

Then have trans and cis sub-categories.

Yeah, just to make it easier to categorize and sort of what you want to see. Like if not a "trans" tag, it would be something like a "women with a penis," so if someone is not into that they can just click on another video.

Well... Not everyone can get aroused by the sight of a woman with a dick or a dude with a pussy. So having categories for those still under transformation is perfectly fine.

As for trans people who finished the total transformation, they should be allowed in the regular categories.

That's my take on it at least.

But a pre-op trans woman is still a woman. If someone doesn't find a particular woman attractive they should click another link, and maybe not instead relegate the people to solely their own sub-category.

Makes sense to me at least.

There's still categories for black women. And they are indeed brunettes.

It's just that if you select a specific category, you'll have mostly those who are part of this category. And the other categories will probably have less.

And it's not like the tags are always accurate. You can often find dudes in videos tagged as "lesbian". So... It's just a way to filter a bit to find what you want to see.

You can't always see what a woman has or not in her panties with a title or a thumbnail. So it's a way to avoid surprises.

People have very specifics kinks and don't really want to see something else. That's it.

No mainstream website is just going to sprinkle transgender performers in amongst videos featuring largely cisgender performers.

Categories exist to help users find what they are looking for. If you want to see trans performers, why should you be forced to sort through all the cis-related videos?

Well yeah. Porn is a visual medium so whether or not a man/woman in a porno is visibly biologically male or female makes a difference. I think trans woman and trans man should be different categories though. ...Come to think of it I don't think I've come across ftm trans porn while browsing before. Huh.

If there's a category for trans-women then it's pretty much implied that the other one is for cis-women no?

Don't agree. Most gay porn from the mainstream producers I have found to be rather supportive and empowering.

That isn't to say that gross shit doesn't exist.
Gay porn is a different beast I agree and generally more positive but it has some sketchy racial elements too, let's be real.

Ebony women found a white category and white women found in an ebony category are usually there because someone mistagged the video trying to get more views. Like when someone puts teen porn in the mature section. It's not because it's the intended area.

Also I've seen some people complain about the term "trap". That's a category where a straight guy picks up a person they think is a woman with a vagina but they have a penis and is coerced into having sex with them. It's not supposed to be the normal transgendered woman category. Now you can say something like that is demeaning and shouldn't exist but if that's the case half the cis porn categories shouldn't exist either.

Yeah. I am kinda into interracial and it seems that there is a single type of black males that are allowed to participate.

I have noticed it getting better though. Some of the mainstream "twink" studios have picked up black performers recently, which is new.

Porn has become too complicated with categories, subs, etc. When I was coming of age, we had none of that shit. We were lucky to stumble on a sticky ripped-out page from Cherry or Hustler while exploring back in the woods. Every now and then, grandpa would leave a lewd tape in the VCR. We couldn't afford to be picky. All you millenials and gen-z'ers have become crotch-spoiled.

I would assume it would be harder to find if it was decategorized. Categories just provide ease of searching, they're tags.

That being said, the weird part is not having a category, is they being EXCLUSIVE to said category.

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure trans women do show up in the other categories but cis women videos are significantly more common. Depends on the video tags. To my knowledge the only porn that gets separated entirely is gay porn

Say it's the most generic, vanilla video of a biological male and female having sex. Do the two actors need to sign statements as to how they identify so that the sites know whether to categorize it as straight, gay, or lesbian? And would those categories based on how the two actors identify really be useful for site visitors looking for porn?

The "trans" category on a porn site isn't telling you what the actors identify as, it's telling you that one or both of them have both boy and girl parts. This seems pretty straightforward.

What I meant is in more broad categories.

"lesbian" vs "interracial lesbian"

It is kinda hard to use black woman as an example because porn categories are pretty racist on itself but yeah, if there is a chance of having a black woman in there, there should be a chance of having a trans woman too.

Whether or not they should be a thing, i think it's fairly incontestable that they reflect a political ideal of categorization of humans that's symbolic of and condones stigmatization.

It's all in the person tagging the videos. And it stands, it's just that those in charge of uploading trans videos are more on point with the tagging. That's it. And most of the times, the home page of the websites are mashing everything together depending on what's popular. So you can stumble on trans people next to gays, lesbians and regular cis people.

Chaturbate is an example : you've got broad categories for cis-girls, cis-guys, couples and trans. Yet on the home page, everyone is mashed together.

That's fine for me.

They are not talking about how they identify, they are talking what acts are shown there.

If a woman fucks a woman it should be in the lesbian category, don't matter how obviously not lesbian they are in the video.

Which is why trans woman should appear as much as cis woman in the lesbian category, because they are woman fucking another woman. It is the "woman part" that matters for the category

Chaturbate is an example : you've got broad categories for cis-girls, cis-guys, couples and trans. Yet on the home page, everyone is mashed together.

But did they say cis girls and guys and trans or just girls guys and trans ?

Because there is a HUGE difference there

If you look at it from the perspective of the streaming site, which is a business, it would be catastrophic for them to include trans women in all the categories by default. You just made it harder for people who are looking only for cis women to find that material and even worse now people looking only for trans women need to search through an endless amount of cis women content to find what they are looking for. That arrangement ends up making the site unnecessarily time consuming for everyone and they will stop visiting the site. It's a lose, lose, lose situation.

As an example let's say I'm looking for big tit porn with a trans woman. I click on the category for big tits. How am I supposed to know which of these vids are with trans women and which are cis women without clicking each individual video and fast forwarding to some random point? That is EXTREMELY inefficient.

Practically, it would be a nightmare. As a certain percentage of men who click on a video looking for a cis women are liable to be very angry.
Really, probably the bigger thing would be how trans people are generally portrayed. Lots of shemale and other demeaning terms.

Trans people should not be exclusively categorized in trans and traditionally fetishy stuff.

The problem that some have with the trans categorization is a combination of slurs used for categorization (not in all cases) and the disproportionate degree of fetishization that trans people experience.

You're not.

You're a man living as a woman.

Liable to be very angry in the comments, after having jerked off filled with shame and confusion.

Let's mix it all up, freak out some squares.

meh, let them be angry lol

Dunno, it could start a harassment campaign against the porn artists and porn sites. We've seen how these kinds of shitheads act when they get irrationally angry. It should be done, but there should be precautions before doing so to protect the people in the videos.
