"Anyone invested in this brand would know what's up" is a shitty defense for something that doesn't really need to be defended????

No one was demanding an update on the game, developers aren't obligated to keep consumers updated

Yeah, the previously filed trademark before it was announced in 2014 probably expired, so they renew. It confirms Sony is still backing the game.
