Hey Wired All Wrong, have you heard of The Sentiments from Portland?
I've been listening to them a lot this past week and really liking it.

I've heard one of their songs, Please Stop Your Lyin', but I haven't heard anything from the album you posted. Just into the first song and I love it. Thanks so much. Love a good soul ska style.Hey Wired All Wrong, have you heard of The Sentiments from Portland?

Awesome, I appreciate that you post so many different albums here, but I never get around to listening to them because I do a lot of my listening at work and I don't browse the forum then. Do you have a good recommendation for a spotify playlist that I could follow?I've heard one of their songs, Please Stop Your Lyin', but I haven't heard anything from the album you posted. Thanks thelongestj. Just hoping some people find some good music to get into. I guess write down some of the artists I post or make a playlist on Spotify with a song from each album at home as a reminder to check it out when you're at work. If you like The Sentiments style of music I think you'll really like some of the stuff I've posted so far in the thread.Awesome, I appreciate that you post so many different albums here, but I never get around to listening to them because I do a lot of my listening at work and I don't browse the forum then. Looks like a great show. I really like Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad and Kingston Rudieska. I also liked the few songs I've heard from The Phonosonics. Would definitely love to see Western Standard Time. From the videos I've seen of them, they look like they would put on an awesome show.Really enjoying the abraskadabra album, my favorite kind of ska punk.
So my city announced their 19th annual ska festival this summer.

Stoked to see the Bosstones again and really looking forward to checking out Western Standard Time Ska Orchestra, they sound great. I've never heard of the other artists.
If anyone is planning on making the trip up here let me know.
I like it. These guys really tightened up their sound, even from that short EP they released a couple years ago. Looking forward to checking it out.Call Me Malcolm - There is no "I" in Apocalypse
These guys are coming out with an album april 6th, and if the rest of the album is even close to being as good as this song, it will join The JB Conspiracy - The Storm as some of the best ska-punk to have been released in the last 10 years.
Edit: I should maybe qualify this by saying it's 3rd Wave Ska that I'm talking about.
The sound is still out there. Don't keep up with it too much myself, but here's a few bands that might scratch that itch.I have to admit, that just isn't my speed in terms of taste. It feels a little vanilla. I prefer the Capdown/Filaments/leftover crack style, though I have completely lost touch with where that sound is at the moment. Can't believe Pound for the Sound came out 17 years ago...

Dead Rejects
Escape From The Zoo
the Stupid Stupid Henchmen
Thee Infidels
Welcome back to the thread. I think this one gets lost in the Hangouts section. Don't think many people browse that so smaller communities like this one get lost in the shuffle. Might have to ask again to see if I can get the thread moved over EtcetEra to get some more visibility. Here's a few more recommendationsWait. How'd I️ miss this thread. I️ totally loved the one back on gaf. Time for me to catch up on some new recommendations
I listened to so much stuff from Asian Man records back in the day. That and stuff from Moon Ska. So much good music came from those labels. Jump Up has/had tons of great bands too. Probably going to listen to some Skankin' Pickle today now that you bring them up. Listened to the Green Album and Live more times than I can count.
Hell yeah! Thanks for the heads up. The new song sounds great.New Interrupters album coming out June 29th. First single's up on streaming services it looks like. Haven't heard it yet, but I love their first two albums.
Welcome to the thread! Hope you find some new stuff that you like.Holy shit, I didn't know this thread existed. As a Ska neophyte, I'm beyond excited.
Followed! I didn't know about this thread, thanks to linking to it from the Streetlight thread in OT. Found some really interesting bands in here already I'll need to listen to more tonight after work.
Going to add some songs by one of my favourite bands, Five Iron Frenzy, which I posted in the other thread. Although they have mostly moved away from more traditional 3rd wave ska, they have one song on their most recent album "Engine of a Million Plots" that's more of a traditional ska/reggae song:
And here is just a great rock with horns song:
Mighty Mighty Bosstones announced they have a new album coming out June 15th.

Seems like June is going to be a good month for ska. Bosstones, The Interrupters and Mad Caddies all releasing new albums.
Ah yes, I do keep forgetting about that one for some reason. Any release date mentioned yet? I also feel like I'm forgetting about another album or two coming out soon.Let's not forget that there is a RBF and Hepcat re-issue coming out around that time as well!

I did not hear about the Hepcat re-issue though. That's great to hear. Looking it up, I'd love to hear those dub versions of the albums. I wonder if they ever plan on making a new album. I know they've been playing shows here and there for a while. Would love to get something new from them.
Maybe The Lions will release a new album. They're mostly reggae so it's not really like Hepcat, but Deston Berry and Alex Désert are both in the band so that's something.I think Hepcat is in June and RBF is in July. The Hepcat record is Out of Nowhere. They already released Right on Time last year. Hopefully they will release the other two soon. As far as a new Hepcat record? Man, I don't know. I'd love to see it but I've heard nothing.

Saw it was up on Spotify, but haven't listened to much of it. I saw there was a 1 or 2 songs added though. I'll give it a listen today. Fury is a such a great album. I did see that Baron Von Tito came back to play a few songs with them for the anniversary show. Damn I would have loved to be there for that.

I really hope so. Need that hear that in a higher quality than the YouTube video I saw. I think this was the one I watched for anyone else interested in seeing it.Rumor has it that both the reunion show and the Back to the Beach festival were recorded for later use.
Very nice start. Some great stuff in there. Sometimes I really want to start a vinyl collection, but I know I'd end up spending way too much money on one.

I definitely need to check out that Brooklyn Attractors album you've got there. I've only listened to the Live in NYC album which I really like.
Was just about to post it too. Just got to the last song I'm loving it. They continue to be one of my favorite bands out there.FYI, new album "Fight the Good Fight" from The Interrupters is out today. Some real good stuff there. Out on Spotify. Even has a new collab with Rancid on it.
She's Kerosene is a great song and it's nice to see The interrupters doing well.
I know they don't play ska anymore, but The Aquabats have a kickstarter for a new album and new episodes for their TV show that some people might be interested in checking out.
