So weird how little fanfare this is being released to. A new game from thatgamecompany used to be a huge deal.
Woah. I don't dabble at all with mobile games, but I'll certainly make an exception for a thatgamecompany title.

Well, they used to have PlayStation's marketing machine behind them...
Its basically journey with more social stuff on top so you probably wont like this either
I'm still on a 5S so I'm afraid my phone will melt trying to play any game at this point. But a new release from thatgamecompany...
iOS games are generally released on Wednesdays. The game was announced long ago and has been available for preorder for over a month. I wouldn't call it a stealth release.
I'll try it on iPad since I love thatgamecompany. Not a huge fan of iPad games, but I'm hoping to be surprised.
This is pretty good so far and probably the best looking iPhone game I've ever played but it's also a shame because it's on the iPhone. This would absolutely shine on console/PC.

Played a solid two hours! Still trying to figure out how to get hearts from giving candles - those are some of the best acquired items in the game, only received from sharing candles. Micro transactions can encourage you to share but there's so much more to leveling up relationships. It's so peaceful to search for hidden expressions and lost shadows - and the drifting is as beautiful as ever. It feels like a Journey MMO - leveling your cape, sitting on benches to leave notes and chat, opening doors only with others - there's a level of cooperation needed that's so wonderful.

Should I bother on an iPhone 6S? Or does it run and look like crap in such older devices
edit- it was just a few hundred MB so I gave it a try, runs ok (maybe 30fps?) and looks gorgeous. I'll be waiting to experience this in full glory on PC, hopefully it has a regular price without mtx (whatever those are here)

Played to the shop hub.
It looks so great on the iPhone X and feels really smooth, really enjoyed it, you have to be in the right space/place to play this type of game on your phone tho.

I'm excited to try this, but can't deny I'm a little sad that after the masterpiece that was Journey the new game from them releases on iOS to little fanfare
I played all their previous games to 100% multiple times, yet I had no idea about this game. I'm not going to play it on mobile, but I look forward to playing a console version.
