Received my 8bitdo SF30 Controller and the NES and my Retro Receiver yesterday, works wonderfully with my SNES Classic. It's nice to be wireless again.

Also, since I see other people also had issues getting Terranigma to work, I just got it working with the newest all-in-one patch on reddit, without audio issues. The method posted yesterday (font patch + NTSC patch + standalone Canoe patch) always gave me sound errors; apparently the issue was that you needed to remove and re-add a header midway through.

When I tried using those i had massive lag of at least 2 seconds. I am on the latest firmware. Any ideas how to fix?

No idea, both my sf30 and retro receiver are on the latest patch and never felt any kind of lag yet. Same thing for one of my coworker who also have one.

Robin64! Great to see you here man! I was also PhantomThief on GAF after I caught a permban so you'll probably remember me as that poster but I just want to thank you for moving to this site, and moving your thread to here!

    Godspeed!

Sure, it's the patch in this reddit OP:
    https://www.reddit.com/r/miniSNESmods/comments/78pu0f/terranigma_playable_with_canoe_maybe_more/
Just apply it with LunarIPS or whatever onto the proper Terranigma ROM and it should work fine.

Edit: Also, apparently it's quite easy to create an autoplay demo for any added game:
    https://www.reddit.com/r/miniSNESmo...eating_a_classic_demo_for_an_added_rom_canoe/
I'm thinking that if one changes the -snapshot-period to something very large, you could create a pretty long demo without taking up a lot of space (since inputs take much less space than a savestate).

When I have the time I'll try to get that Illusion of Time fix to work on my Spanish NTSC converted rom.

Hello again everyone by the way.

I tried using that patch directly on the Spanish PAL ROM but it messed it up pretty badly (and for some reason reverted text to English).

I have no clue but the sequence is pretty delicate so it's possible that it might mess up something if it's already NTSC-patched.

Just wanted to pop by to say how relieved I am to find this community made the jump to RE! It's been my favourite thing going since the SNES Classic was released. Thanks for all the hard work, everyone.

Also, general question: I'm assuming no SatellaView games work at all?

    Thanks for making this!

There are still three games I haven't been able to find US style box art for. If anyone could make covers for these, that would be great.

Magical Quest 3 Starring Mickey and Donald
    Fire Pro Wresting X Premium
    Super Puyo Puyo 2

Ah, perfect. Got Terranigma working properly with this patch. It's an all-in-one for NTSC conversion and then the Canoe fix. No audio errors at all!

(I also used uCON64 to fix the checksum, but I don't think that's important at all, I just like it that way)

It's very difficult to permanently brick your SNES Classic. As long as you read through the instructions and don't go off-script, you should be fine.

I personally used Lunar IPS. Though there are other programs people swear by, this one did it for me.

Here are my SFC boxes for some of the games that did not see release (or only flash release) in Japan if anyone wants them:

Reasonably happy about everything except Young Merlin, which never released in JP and from what I can see never got any kind of decent artwork anywhere. My own uk copy has hideous artwork that has nothing to do with the game, and the US one just has a giant ugly logo, and I can't see any adverts for it that don't suck. So my Young Merlin SFC cover is the drizzling shits. :/

    Sources before sfcification are :

    Sunset Riders - Arcade Flyer
Super Turrican 2 - computer Turrican 2 art altered
Young Merlin - eu logo and my creatively challenged ass
Zombies Ate my Neighbours - someone else already mocked one up from fan art, so I just corrected the perspective.
Secret of Evermore - spanish fan manga
    Killer Instinct - official art
    Pushover - promotional material
Run Saber - not sure, I think it was an advert for the games release in Japan, but the game was cancelled. I cleaned up as much of the text as I could.
Starfox 2 - not mine, Nintendo made this for the Super Famicom mini
Super Punch Out!! - Fan art

    Hakchi v2.21f Released
    • Screenshots without tearing (thanks to DanTheMan827!)
    • Slowdown fix.
    • Other tiny fixes.

I advise you all to get this version the "slowdown fix" is actually pretty crucial.

Thanks ROBIN...do you know if it fixes compatibility short of doing Retroarch on fan translations? I still can't find a working copy of Marvelous.

Very unlikely, most fan translation expand the ROM, and Canoe itself doesn't support that sort of thing.

Lots of compatibilty additions but most importantly fixes that:

    a) stop your SNES Mini from overheating and
    b) stop your SNES Mini from destroying its NAND

    Do please update. :)

Piggy-backing on this, can I skip updates and just jump to the latest? (eg. 2.20b -> 2.21f)

Yeah, there's no problem doing that.

Be sure to do "Flash Custom Firmware" again if you're coing from something like b or c.
