It's gonna be the SNES rom, like every other SNES online release.I hope this plays better than the Wii version. Wii version had really bad input lag.
Correct
That's just... Ridiculous.
ehm, actually...You get the whole NES and SNES library for free during the subscription if you pay for NSO.
Yes, Switch VC for NES/SNES is included with your subscripion
AFAIK on the Snes the game was time-corrected, but I could be wrong.YES!
I only owned the EU Wii re-release, which was at 50hz.
It's gonna be great to play the real thing this time.
This is how the NES and SNES Switch Online collections have worked for... almost two years now. That's just... Ridiculous.
My first ever console game and I have to stay subbed to play it. Urghhh
The games were notably slower in the EU Wii version.AFAIK on the Snes the game was time-corrected, but I could be wrong.
I know, and it's stupid. This is how the NES and SNES Switch Online collections have worked for... almost two years now.
it's not gonna be a separate game, you just need to update the SNES app.Is this available on EU eShop yet? Anyone confirm it's the 60Hz version?
Can someone explain to me what that entails exactly? From the direct it just looked like the same game running via their SNES emulator.and each have upgraded audio and visuals from their original releases.
It's not stupid if it serves the purpose of you subscribing to the service. Which may or may not be the case.
What is a subscription service and how does it work???
They're specifically referring to All-Stars upgrading the visuals over the NES originals. Can someone explain to me what that entails exactly? From the direct it just looked like the same game running via their SNES emulator.

Oooooh...They're specifically referring to All-Stars upgrading the visuals over the NES originals.
Reminder the Super Mario Bros. and Lost Levels have screwed up physics and are UNPLAYABLE.
(Exaggerating for comic effect, but I'll take the NES originals of those two any day. And SMB3, to be honest)
From the trailer, it looks like they implemented the physics fix for rebound from block hits in SMB1
It's insane they never changed this themselves, it's a one byte difference to fix this...Reminder the Super Mario Bros. and Lost Levels have screwed up physics and are UNPLAYABLE.
(Exaggerating for comic effect, but I'll take the NES originals of those two any day. And SMB3, to be honest)
I do prefer the Super Mario 2 (USA) remake, though.I always preferred the original SMB3 as well. The use of bold background colors had a way of increasing the tension of certain stages (Yellow for the Big Fish stages, all black for for Bowsrt World stages etc.). All the background detail in the remake dulled things IMO.
I wonder if somedya we'll know if the changes in the physics of SMB1 were intentional or a bug.
Honestly, after this one and DK Country, there's not many 1st party SNES games left. Maybe Mario RPG and DKC 2 and 3.
Ah dang, forgot it was only when he smashes a brickHuh? Where did you see that? In the footage from the Direct, Mario doesn't break a single brick in SMB1 or Lost Levels.
DKC2/3, Wario's woods and earthbound are the only for sure ones left. I imaging Mario rpg would have been announced now if it was coming. Mystical ninja was datamined but that's the only other one left. It's why I originally expected a new system this monthHonestly, after this one and DK Country, there's not many 1st party SNES games left. Maybe Mario RPG and DKC 2 and 3.
From 3rd parties I still want Actraiser and Axelay.
I can confirm that the original PAL version was optimised for 50Hz.The games were notably slower in the EU Wii version.
Unfortunately, only a handful of Wii games didn't have a 50/60Hz toggle, and this one was one of them.
