I wish CGI trailers were a thing of the past.

I can't wait to see more of this game though, SE4 was a really cool game.

"Mwaaaah, the French! Sniper has always been celebrated for its excellence. There is Britsh Sniper by Rebellion, inspired by that same French excellence. It's fermented in the hard drive..."

Is that trailer suggesting a PvEvP gameplay similar to an invasion is Dark Souls because that would be pretty near, at least for the first couple of times.

I am amazed they are still making these.

Apparently people do not get tired of shooting nads.

Hope they eventually move to a different war after this.

Although I guess the whole point of this series is to inflict as much violence to Nazi scum as possible.

SNIPER ELITE 5 - INVASION MODE A whole new dimension to the game's intense drama and add increased diversity to the tactics that players will have to employ in order to complete their mission.

The invading Axis Sniper will have the sole aim to eliminate the player while the Allied Sniper will gain an extra objective: take out the invader. Invasion Mode will also be available in co-operative play increasing the challenge for the Axis invader as they now have two Allies to track down, but offering greater rewards.

Invasion Mode will enable some unique skills for both players. The Axis invader can use of the AI Axis forces to help locate the Allied player. Tagging an Axis soldier will enable 'Eagle Eyes' which means that if that soldier spots the Allied Sniper then their last known location will be displayed on the map.

The Axis Sniper can also instruct nearby soldiers to 'Stay Sharp', increasing their awareness. For the Allied Sniper, each level has invasion phones scattered around the map which the player can use to discover the last known location of their opponent. But beware, as not only can these phones be booby trapped, but overuse will raise suspicions and reveal the player's location.

Successful Axis Snipers will be rewarded with weapons, items and skin unlocks while Allied Snipers can earn weapon and character skins by killing their opponent. You will also be awarded with additional XP for having Invasion Mode enabled.

i guess ww1 would be too limiting for them? at least on the western front but there's plenty of creative liberty that can be taken.

Korea, Vietnam, just advance the timeline.

i dont think they'd want to do cold war stuff (especially vietnam) since that's less heroic than ww2. but then again, the cod cold war games were really popular and featured a bunch of secret agent stuff so that setting could work for sniper elite.

I think these games are already cold war-ish WW2. It's very spy based, specially since SE3. It would work perfectly in a 1970s setting.

I reckon they would have to be real careful with who you would be targetting. Cold war would be messy. I mean, "Shoot Hitler/Zombie Hitler in the nuts" has a better ring to it than "Destabilise this country for the CIA"

Unless they go Wolfenstein and have a disco era sniper popping the nards of 1970's Nazis. Which, after thinking about very briefly, sounds fun to me

I didn't want to say that...but I knew it'd be true haha.

"Hmm, this could be Sniper Elite 5...I mean...the trees looked worse in 4...didn't they..?"
Haha, yeah. Just second guessing every second of it "That x-ray skull shot has a way smoother higher framerate...I think?"

The only time I don't mind a cinematic trailer is when a game is literally about to drop on Gamepass because there's no cost to trying it out.
