The whole movie felt like some beat charlize porn dream from the director honestly, i wanted to like it but other than the soundtrack and occasional bits like that fight scene i really couldnt

I didn't think the movie's plot was basic, I thought it was insane and weird in a way that didn't really pay off. The action is okay I guess but best this decade sounds like a huge exaggeration to me, especially in a decade with stuff like the recent Mission Impossibles and John Wick (not my bag but the action is great).

I can't believe how bad the plot was. Like James Mcavoy being the most obvious evil partner and her putting up with him

John Wick, IMO, holds the title for best action series within the last decade. I really love the camerawork in those films. Keeps the action in clear view in addition to splendid scene framing.

I think the scenes featured in the OP are decent, but I don't think they're better than scenes featured in JW.

I believe it but I'm not about to watch a movie titled "Atomic Blonde" that advertises itself with lesbian stripper makeout shots.

Funny, I'm the exact opposite.

Would I go into it expecting good representation? No.

Would I go into it prepared to make the most of the action, the cheese, and whatever queerness there is, while also frequently scoffing? Yes.

(Ended up enjoying Atomic Blonde overall, fwiw.)

Three movies, one a foreign film, is fairly rare.
Well that's funny because, in total, i technically named 9 movies if we include sequels and I added "etc etc" because I don't know every movie ever made nor did I feel like sitting there trying to remember every movie i ever saw that fit the criteria.

Sure, the fight scenes were well choreographed. The movie itself is absolutely fucking awful garbage.

I'd advise anyone even slightly interested in watching this movie just to watch the clips on YouTube instead.

Well again, when the conversation is about Atomic Blonde, it's generally understood we're talking about female-led films.

I remember renting this and expecting a female John Wick with action from wall to wall. What it actually is, is terribly boring. I do remember that what was there was alright, unfortunately by the time we got to the fighting it I couldn't even care. I don't watch enough movies to argue against op's point but for me, it was entirely forgettable and not even close to any of the Wick movies.

Those scenes carried the entire movie and made me power through the painfully mediocre writing. I don't remember even a tiny bit about the plot, but I do remember the action scenes in great detail.

I completely agree. The whole building set-piece, extending into the car chase, is one of the best action sequences of the decade

Unfortunately everything between the action bring Atomic Blond down to merely a mediocre and tonally-muddled movie
