Oh fuck he did too.
Just like the tweet, this thread didn't go as you thought it would, right OP ?
No you didn't.
What's with people on this site getting upset when they tweet at someone and they reply, lol.
FWIW I've worked with a lot of Indians and they seemed fine with the concept. Not something I really understand but who am I to tell them otherwise?
For Hindus, marriage is a sacrosanct union. It is also an important social institution. Marriages in India are between two families, rather two individuals, arranged marriages and dowry are customary. The society as well as the Indian legislation attempt to protect marriage. Indian society is predominantly patriarchal. There are stringent gender roles, with women having a passive role and husband an active dominating role. Marriage and motherhood are the primary status roles for women. When afflicted mental illness married women are discriminated against married men. In the setting of mental illness many of the social values take their ugly forms in the form of domestic violence, dowry harassment, abuse of dowry law, dowry death, separation, and divorce. Societal norms are powerful and often override the legislative provisions in real life situations.

Someone was wrong on the internet.jpgThis thread is getting more replies and views that that guy's "attack". And why were you bothering that woman? Checked out her profile and she links to the Malala fund promoting girls education. She seems cool.
Nice try but I'm not going to get into an argument about this too, lol

This is where I'm at.For you, the day Akaash Singh graced your Twitter was the most important day of your life. But for him, it was Tuesday
You made this thread in an attempt to garner support. There's no reason why you'd do so.
I'm just waiting until someone post this thread to the twitter chain and we get a round 2.
My favorite reply so far lol."brainchild drops the bomb on Akaash Singh (Update: Akaash Singh Escalates)"
He responded to my tweet to someone else by calling me an "ignorant fuck", then proceeds to tell me that "problematic isn't a word" and even goes on to explain why he believes that to be the case.
BTW, he wasn't responding to defend the Indian girl either. He accused her of stealing his joke.
No, I made this thread to draw attention to the exchange. Who the hell are you to tell me why I do what I do?!
And some are problematic. Not a huge fan of how that word can be over used sometimes but it's simply objective truth. There are instances where women are basically sold like cattle.Op, you went after an Indian guy who probably has a better grasp of arranged marriages than you do.....
