So uh...anyone else notice how in SPECIES II, a character gets deep-throated to death? (NSFW and SPOILERS, I guess)

Because, um...yeah

I have to wonder, HOW THE FUCK did this get past the MPAA? Especially in the 90s when there were as draconian as ever when it came to sex. Fun fact, my parents rented this movie from Blockbuster when it came out. They refused to let me and my sister see it (despite having let us see Braveheart when it came out, they were fine with violence but drew the line at sex, because America). But my sister and I managed to hide in the hallway leading to the living room and sneak a few peaks or just hear what was happening. I didn't see this scene at the time but I heard it. I remembered my dad started laughing his ass off while my mom went "um, what is going on?"

Really, all of Species II is hilariously over the top sex and gore, between the above scene, to scenes like these.

Didn't a dude get deepthroated to death in a swimming pool in the first SPECIES?

Edit: He totally did.

these scenes are nowhere near as memorable as the early one where the astronaut man impregnates two sisters and the pregnancy goes to completion in a matter of minutes with the baby bursting its way out of the mother's belly. That shit stayed with me.

Why you gonna bring back Natasha Henstridge for Species III if you're only gonna kill her off in the opening moments of the film, immediately after reviving her?
The Resident Evil films killed off Ada, Leon, and Jill offscreen before the movie even starts and also apparently Wesker only pretended to give Alice her powers back for shits n giggles

Yeah ok, I really didn't need to see that lmao
Even creepier is that the Predalien exclusively targets women for that

I still can't get over the fact that a young mother brought her 10 year old kids to my theatre screening of this and considered it to be suitable viewing material.
My parents took me to see Hostel when I was a kid. About half an hour in they realized how much of a bad idea that was and booted my ass into the King Kong screening. Ironically that bug pit scene with the worms haunted me more than anything Hostel could dish out when I eventually saw the rest later in life.

I think the woman astronaut whose alien baby kills her husband was far more traumatic for me.

AVP2 had me thinking I just watched a hentai. But overall, it was a great slasher movie.

I remember that and the last time I saw the movie was in the theater.

Yeah, your parents fucked up real bad in there. I laughed at many of the Hostal scenes not in a edgy but a "holy shit noooo waaaaay" kind of way.

The bug pit? Yeah, that shit was fucking horrifying.

Please never watch Galaxy of Terror, I watched it because that title is one of the best ever but there is a scene where

A giant worm rapes a woman to death

The film is called A Serbian Film. Linking it wouldn't be wise I think....

Girl gets her teeth knocked out, then raped in her throat and chokes on it.
Didn't they make that film exclusively to show how fucked up their ratings system is due to what it allows to be shown?

Not sure if the gif gets it across but that woman's pregnant and the other pregnant women stuck on the other beds in the maternity ward are screaming watching it happen. They all die.
Them being pregnant lets them hold multiple chestbursters who also ate the baby

Yeah best not. I've not even seen it, but knowing what happens in it I'm genuinely concerned by people that actively choose to watch it. If a brief synopsis doesn't make you go "Fuck that" then wow frankly.
Yeah I heard about it from a guy at my work years ago. He said it was amazing. I watched a trailer and was like alright let's give it a shot. I wish I never seen it.

It’s hard to explain. The movie is not “fun” in a horror way. It was created as a form of protest by the director, so it has to be viewed in that light rather than as a narrative. There are movies like Irreversible that I have to be careful who I recommend them to. I’d never recommend ASF - you have to assess it for yourself. I’d never watch it again though.

This film is freaking great! I loved watching it as a horror obsessed kid. It would take years for me to watch the first one, cause no rental place near my house had it.

This movie and Movie 43 are the only two movies in my life I've ever walked out of.
