Was build up as a potential love interest for two movies and in the end Marvel now prefer you forget about her since it means forgetting that Captain America made out with his niece

Anyone here remember Sif? The Asgardian woman who had a thing for Thor? The one that got erased from existence before infinity war

Jane Foster and her friends ended up being one of the worst parts of those first two Thor movies, and unlike the other love interest in this poll I say Jane actually deserved to be written out

Not even sure if I'm posting the right Betty it's been awhile, she's the original snap victim of the MCU, the Hulk doesn't even mention her because he replaced her with Black Widow

Betty, imo.

I'm so glad Sharon got snapped and until they can cast a stronger actress than Emily VanCamp she can stay dusted.

Emily as Sharon could have maybe worked on an Agents of Shield level especially coming off of Revenge and Brothers and Sisters but she is just... not believable as a big screen love interest for Cap. She's got very, very little range.

For sure Betty. She was the friggin' love of his life that was with Banner through thick and thin. And with the development in Endgame, it was perfect for them to finally find happiness. Instead, we have General Ross at the end for some reason without even a mention of her. Awkward....

She was goinf to be in Ragnarok, even tweeted about it, but since it got delayed Jamie could not make the shoot due to scheduling conflicts. So since Hela didn't get a chance to kill her in the Ragnarok, maybe there's a chance she could be back some day.

Betty is straight up forgotten completely despite her importance to Banner, so she wins.

2nd place is Sif, who is both forgotten and basically replaced by the much cooler Valkyrie. Is she even alive?

3rd place is the woman Dr. Strange used to date. Strange pretty much just uses her when convenient. You didn't even remember to put her in the poll. Though I guess you could argue that we might see her in the sequel.

The others are at least confirmed to be doing well for themselves in-universe. Also does anyone even really like Jane?

I'd love to see Lady Sif and Jane Foster return. The former because she's awesome, and the latter because if Jane Foster becomes Thor, Natalie Portman is still an incredible actor, the film just needs the right writing. I bet she would work really well with someone like Taika.

Jane Foster. I'll tell you why.

1) Natalie Portman actually cared about the role: She was hoping that Thor 2 the dark world being directed by Patty Jenkins especially would give her character a sense of purpose, instead we got...Thor 2 The Dark World.
2) She was one of Thor's main character motivations, referenced several times throughout his early arc.
3) When she was written off it was through a throwaway line.
4) No one liked her even though the film-makers clearly tried to make her a "thing".
5) Nothing makes this more obvious than the fact they couldn't avoid referencing her in EG, can you say the same about the rest?

Basically Jane Foster got the biggest shaft because she also had the most work put into her character which amounted to nothing and was glazed over by a single joke in Thor Ragnarok.

"RIP" Jane Foster, see you in Avengers 8 or whatever.

Ed Norton and Liv Tyler actually had some great chemistry. But I am perhaps the last and only Incredible Hulk fan, so my bias may be showing.

That being said, would be weird to see her and Ruffalo Banner meet, so I don't mind her quietly being written off.

Jane and Sif are both characters I'd like to see return. Good actresses, interesting potential, held back by some bad movies.

Sharon Carter... uhh, she's okay I guess.

Lady Sif is weird. It's not even like they really spared her in Thor Ragnarok, she just wasn't there.

She didn't die, she left Thor lol

Her actress was filming something else at the time, so she wasn't available.

Sif has a chance of coming back. She had a reason for not being in Ragnarok and could have potentially great interactions with Valkyrie.

Jane came back after getting written off and Portman is apparently cool with Marvel again. She's fine.

Sharon has a theoretical explanation for her disappearance with the five year time skip. Cap moved on, she lost interest, etc.

Betty vanished with no explanation and will probably never come back short of a magically appearing Red She-Hulk movie.

The answer is pretty clear.

Betty Ross, we didn't get anything for her being absent.

Sharon Carter, Shouldn't have been an option for cap in the first place.
Sif, i don't really felt that she was meant to be a love interest but, yes she was done dirty by being potentially killed off screen, but no i don't think she was screwed specifically as a love interest.
Jane Foster, not fault of the writers that the actress stepped away from the role, i don't think it was doing her dirty that she dumped Thor off screen, which let's be frank, it's a sensible thing to do.

Betty Ross didn't even get any mention post her ONE movie, Banner moves on, briefly romances Natasha and that's it. Betty was done the dirtiest.

Betty for sure.

Sharon kinda sucks as a love interest, especially compared to Peggy (actually she sucks compared to Peggy in any respect... and actually most characters do). But it would have been cool to see her in her white The Boss-esque suit fighting alongside the Avengers at some point.

I could see totally see Jane and/or Sif making a return to the MCU. Jane after all has a HUUUUGE comics storyline that can be cashed eventually.

I don't want to get into Endgame spoilers, so I won't comment on the future of the MCU beyond that, but seeing that comics storyline for Jane make it into the MCU would really be incredible.

And Sif is awesome, she got a couple of AoS episodes and she was great in that. She always would have been a better love interest for Thor and a great warrior type-with a slight comedic edge character in her own right.

We don't, including Sharon
Yeah as funny as the Sam/Bucky bit was with them watching, the entire time Steve and Sharon were talking I was like, please don't. And then they did. That was unpleasant.

Shoutout to Betty tho. Incredible Hulk is seriously slept on in these parts when it's better than at least 8 MCU movies.

The answer is Banner/Natasha. I'm one of the 10 people who shipped it, lol.
Let's just imagine they gave it a shot during
the 5 year gap. A couple of overnighters, but they both dealt with the snap differently. Hulk wanted to be at peace. Nat was too worried about the world. It ended well enough, but Hulk was still into it.

I love Natalie Portman as Jane, and Emily VanCamp as Sharon Carter. Disappointed that both have pretty much been dropped. I do really dislike that they went with the Steve/Sharon kiss in Civil War.

Portman is already trying to make reparations. Someone probably showed her Aaron’s run. I don’t think we’ve seen the last of her. Nor of Sif. If they do a Thor 4, as has been pitched, I expect one or both to be back, for bigger roles down the road. That awful Blindspot show is finished, I think.

If those Thunderbolts rumors are true, maybe we’ll see Betty back, too.

Sharon definitely got the shaft. She can’t hold a candle to Peggy, and the actress is way out of her league, I guess, but the character was essentially a bandaid for Cap after his true love died and his friendships were falling apart around him. And then she just vanishes.
