I wonder if it has to do with the money question. I put Neutral (or No Opinion or whatever it was) instead of agreeing/disagreeing that wages should be based on value rather than hours worked because...the point is to do away with wages. LTV doesn't describe how wages "should" be distributed, it describes how they ARE distributed.
I tried leaving everything blank except "Agree" on that and it gave 25% for mutualism and 20% for collectivist anarchism. "Disagree" gives you no weighting for any of them.

What really confused me is that I would honestly label myself a statist and I gave a "slightly agree" answer to:

State involvement is needed to protect citizens' interests

With disagrees for:

State regulation of markets should be minimised
Government should only be involved in the administration of vital services like the police and fire services

So this is what being a sekirtsucc/statist is, right? Like I broadly think government is useful, I just want to decentralize it. I don't know how people got Marxism and why I didn't get it...

Yes. You’re a liberal. That’s only bad if you think liberals are shit.

;)

This where we get surprised when House is actually the Fed closely observing us.

Anyway I got:

Collectivist anarchism 90%
Deep ecology 100%
Anarcha-feminism 100%

With my hated ideologies being:
Classical liberalism -80%
Fusionism -93%
Paleoconservatism -90%

I'm gonna start reading more on the ones I liked. Specially Anarcha-feminism. I had never heard about that one. I also have no idea wth is Fusionism, so I'm just gonna read a bit of a summary, so I'm not a complete illiterate heathen.

I think I just collected all the left anarcho/communist labels that the website had, lol. That quiz had some misleading questions based on the pros and cons listed underneath each.

Like them interchanging state and government depending on the question. Sometimes government meant state (wrong) and sometimes it just meant a system of governing.

Great to be living in Taiwan when you are 100% incompatible with the central philosophy of the KMT.

For all the faults of the KMT they didn't go down the trash can as fast as the CCP.
I dunno, the White Terror was a pretty public swan-dive into the trash can. That and all the ethnic nationalism and fascist tendencies. They climbed their way out like an inch at the end of the 80s, but I don't trust them at all. Not with Han "I will make Taiwan rich" Kuo Yu and not with Terry "Foxconn CEO" Gou getting the big push right now. Not that I really like the DPP either; they are making quick work of fucking over workers. The New Power Party is the closest to what I would support, but I can't even vote so lol.

How are you guys getting so many ideologies ?
It might depend on how strongly you answer the questions.

I'm not getting Marxism or Feminism and this is challenging my personal identity.
The system is still flawed. The best way to do this would be to have a particular topic/issue, list of a bunch of different ideological responses to said issues, and then have the option to 'check all that apply'.

Might as well write out my take on the coup here, as a Venezuelan:

-No fucking way this isn't US-backed.

-No fucking way Maduro didn't need to go.

-Guaido will have to work to be worse than Maduro was.

-Paramilitaries were already around as of years ago. They were not CIA-backed; they were fixers for Maduro and his cronies.

-In the short term, it'd require significant effort to make things worse for the average Venezuelan if it succeeds. In the long term Venezuela may forfeit its economic future, but that was already the case under Maduro.

-If it fails, I'm concerned about the level of violence Maduro will enact in retribution and what pretext that might give for direct intervention instead of US backing. Maduro's been pretty smart about keeping himself alive though, so the the hope in that scenario is he just does goddamn nothing. That might not mean much in the end though.

If you wanna believe I'm COINTELPRO for thinking that, go for it. I can't stop you. But the last goddamn thing you should do as a Socialist is support Maduro.

"US Out of Venezuela" and "Maduro Out of Venezuela" are not contradictory statements.

Correct, and agreed. That would be the ideal. Unfortunately, the coup is happening right now. From what I can see, it's primarily driven by civilians. Engagements in Caracas after the initial firing of shots appear to be trending that way. If it fails it's gonna get worse for them.

If it fails and there is State terror you're gonna see a whole bunch of "Leftists" suddenly come out in support of State violence and cops.
There's already some almost getting there in the thread about it. That bit of things has been oddly exhausting.

Is this an actual coup?

All I can find is the two arguing over Twitter saying that the military is their waifu.
Conflicting reports, but what we do have footage of is the civilians mobilizing. Currently trying to take an air force base in Caracas, the capital. You can tell they're legit since all they have is rocks. We also have footage of them stopping cops from arresting people, and an exchange of fire between Guaido's guys and Maduro's guys that was... odd, to say the least. Can't tell if they're firing their guns high because they're scared or because they're deliberately not trying to escalate things or because they're poorly trained or all of the above. Also got some pictures of wounded civilians. Most footage shows civilians marching close to the pro-Guaido troops. It's certainly not a country-wide uprising yet-- some states are pretty quiet, and I can get more direct confirmation from that since that's from my family. Others aren't. Police are responding with birdshot and tear gas, for the most part.

You skew libertarian, it is not flattering, though I don't think you're bad for it. It is a common consequence of being raised in the American political mindset.

Evidently you're a strong believer in markets and market-based solutions. There's lots of theoretical reasons why socialists detest markets but if you're not familiar with the theory you wouldn't see them as bad. It can be boiled down to this, the market is amoral and creates amoral outcomes so long as it meets some arbitrary non-humanitarian metric of "growth".

Yeah it's rough. I have regular identity crises here as well. It's hard to believe in the fundamental goodness of humanity when people rush to throw their fellow man under the bus for Porky.

I'd rather not stir shit up in that thread so I'm going to tag you here, gutter_trash.
Far-Left people are so weird, complaining about Western intervention but keeping silent about Russian, Cuban and Chinese intervention
I can't vote in Russian or Chinese "elections". Being against Western intervention is accepting responsibility for the sins our society visited on others in the 20th century, particularly in LatAm, and making sure we don't repeat those sins.

The hope is that people, presumably living in Western democracies who understand English, will listen and agree and vote against harmful foreign intervention now and in the future.

So I'm seeing a bunch of DSA chapters tweet out support for Maduro and his government makes me wince. The 8 values quiz has me firmly Libertarian Socialist so it's not I don't line up with DSA but it just seems a super bad idea to ally yourself with the guy whose people are starving

Merry May Day for those of you in close enough longitudinal proximity to me to be on Wednesday. May baby Marx leave you a hammer and sickle under your festive cornstalks.
