I'm gonna try to see if I can find a cockroach that I can actually eat, I may not be able to so I'll probably think of another bug (that's easily available) to eat. And yeah, I'll record it.

I'm REALLY surprised this is at 70% on RT. I expected it to be above 50% (specially once a dude said he would eat a cockroach I started praying to the movie gods it would reviews well).
Let's see how it does in the box office. I want it to be a success but not more than Detective Pikachu. I like my avatar.

I'm glad too, the average rating also went up which helped a lot and made this possible. I was getting worried at 1st but it managed to hold on which is nice, guess we can put our fears to rest.
Feels like the only reason that movie has the rating it does is because it didn't get that many reviews at all lol
It got 106 reviews, but Sonic still has a higher average rating than that movie(5.97 vs 5.7).

Yeah, if Sonic can manage to get way more good reviews and not have the bad ones affect it as much it could be possible.
Detective Pikachu had 294 reviews. This could go anywhere from 50% to 80% depending on how the remaining 200+ reviews go
You expected low 60's but 70% is a miracle? It's not that big of a difference lol
This is a miracle, and I noticed the average rating went up too, yeah I'm defintiely seeing this as I'm a fan of Sonic, this did better than I expected(I expected only low 60s).
Would have possibly been even better as an fully animated feature. Taking cartoon creatures and bringing them to live action is something I never understood. If anything it's a riskier bet box office wise.

To be fair most of the reviews are 3/5. People seem to be saying it's a breezy, dumb fun movie that's just easy to watch. The story is probably pretty whatever.
It may get a ton more reviews or not, it's random, Angry Birds 2 for example only had 106 reviews and has a 73%. But 100+ more reviews should be coming.
Made me smile. That's some Super Sonic energy there. I am still standing opposed in principle for the bet but...yeah. ;)
For a video game based movie 70% is a miracle since they rarely ever get that which is what I meant, definitely when it comes close to certified fresh!=O
The best game-to-film adaptation is The Witcher.
Looking forward to seeing this though! Between this, Detective Pikachu, The Witcher, and maybe even Tomb Raider, video game films are on an upward trajectory.
Given the status of video movies for over 30 years, this is absolutely a miracle.
Time to celebrate.
The Witcher is based more on the books than the games.
Yep...but Monster Hunter movie is this year so I would be surprised if that turned out good.

Technically, the Witcher isn't a video game adaptation.
Eh, while it was made because of the fame the games gave the series, I still consider The Witcher a book-to-film adaptation.
But The Witcher is an adaptation of a book. And it's not a film.
