Nah, he fuckin' nailed it. SonicFox presented as SonicFox; shit that Republicans would line-by-line dislike. If they got mad at him for calling out himself being himself, he was dead-on fucking correct.
His entire existence is a political statement to some people, it doesn't matter what or how he says anything they'll try and beat him down for it.

To each their own. I think it's nice to see games being appreciated as art, and something I can watch actively with my family or roommates who aren't as into this stuff. I didn't attend this year, but did the two years before that. I thought it was funky people in the audience had no dress code. Granted, the show has improved leaps and bounds from it's Spike TV days. As long as we never go back to those cringefests then I'm fine enough.

At a show that's given awards to people like pewdiepie, boogie and had colin moriarty on stage, he definitely fucking nailed it and showed that some people in the gaming community can actually take a stand that isn't fucking toxic.
The show is 3/4 ads. If a person presenting themselves as who they truly feel they are is in any way more noticeable for calling out than that...you have your priorities misplaced, because that isn't games being treated as art, that's games being treated as a commodity. SonicFox was more honest than 95% of the show tonight.

I like Fox and his "lol fuck u" at the end was neat and everything, but fuck do I hate watching people doing public speaking who are that nervous/anxious. The anxiety is contagious. His speech was a series of nervous giggling and screeches with the bookend quote which is probably the only line he got out coherently.

I thought the whole thing was adorable. As nervous as he was, his spirit came through very well. It was an expressive, charismatic nervousness.

tbf (and anecdotally, because my best friend keeps winding up at furry conventions because they're apparently fun as hell to party at), at least some of the "furries are alt-right!" sentiment is just the fact that the alt-right literally never shuts the fuck up and it kinda skews the perception
