SonicFox is the man. I find him really inspiring. It's like watching Michael Jordan play when he was at his peak.
Part of me says good, part of me thinks this is some real next level trolling by him, just completely dunking on a guy by beating him and then giving him a consolation prize

Rewind is one of his best friends and is his training partner for Injustice 2, so it wasn't trolling. He legitimately meant good by his actions lol.
Sonic has always been a good guy. We're very fortunate that if we had to have a player this dominate it's him as our champion.
That's pretty cool, sounds like a good dude. He always seems like a really interesting player from the perspective of someone who just catches periphery fighting game news.
There's a good argument that SonicFox is the best player in the FGC at the moment. considering his proficiency in multiple fighting games. Certainly in the high tiers at minimum.
For once id hope TGA has some moral epiphany to not give a piece of shit the prize 3 years in a row

I'd be completely OK with SonicFox being the current face of the FGC, he's shown he's talented at various FGs, he's young, and he's a great sport plus his personality also helps a lot. He's a fine man in my book. Dude deserves all the respect he gets, he's more than earned it.

Content creator and eSports player are 2 different TGA categories. Ninja will clearly (and sadly) win the former, I hope Sonic will win the latter.
I don't think Joker ever became "good" either, was just a testament to how good SonicFox is, also good on him for donating that money, shame that he got cut off because of TV time during his speech.

He tried SFV, did very well (some Top 8 majors I think) with a shit character (Fang), and stopped because he didn't like the game much.
Pretty well as it turns out. I believe he hit top 8 at a few majors a couple years back, and with Fang of all characters. I have no doubt he'd dominate if he focused on it, but I don't think he cared much for 5.
Anyways, nothing but respect for the guy. An absolute monster at every game he touches and a great heart to boot.

He has competed in SFV too. But dont think his competing now in the capcom pro tour. Still impressive how good he is in other fighting games. But i only watch SFV tornaments :P
