I know it's more than likely them securing future brand names, but part of me wonders if this is going to be some elaborate part of the marketing for PS5. We've heard a rumour about how Sony is looking to emphasise the history of the brand and that games from all 4 prior generations of PlayStation consoles might be playable on PS5 (still fantasy at this point), where they just emphasise it being an all-encompassing device that plays games all the way up to PlayStation 10.
