Jesus Sony has 3 out of 4 consoles hitting 100m with the ps3 doing over 80m. Very happy for them. PS4 fully deserves it

Quite a big difference compared to 2018 though guess it's hard to improve on a great quarter. Looks like more software and members but less revenue.

100Mil!
Incredible. PS2 got to 150Mil, right? Come on PS4, you can do this.
It's safe to say, given this insane trajectory after 6 years, PS5 is going to sell gangbusters out the gate.

Did I read that right, no decrease in hardware revenue? That's impressive considering that we are at the end of this gen, and compared to Microsoft's 48% drop.

So that hardware projection means we can probably say goodbye to the $199 PS4 in 2019.

Never doubted they would hit 100 million this quarter, PS4 sales are so strong worldwide. Congratulations to Sony, they really created an amazing platform and it is going to continue to sell tens of millions more in the years to come no doubt because of it.

Congrats to Sony on hitting 100 million PS4's! Amazing console and it's got an AMAZING final year before next gen hits, but I think it'll be able to rival the PS2 in overall lifetime sales.

When all is said and done the PS4 will definitely surpass the original Playstation. Highly doubt it reaches the PS2, though.

How much did the Wii sell?

Holy moly I knew PS4 was going to sell well but 100M in less than 6 years is still batshit crazy, well earned too.

How did Sony ship 3.2M this quarter :O That's the same as last year, considering how they seem to have fallen quite much in both the US and Japan I did not see this coming.

Well done Sony. PS4 sales are through the roof.

Well done Sony. PS4 sales are through the roof.

PS4's strength in various markets in Asia and Europe have cushioned the decline in the US and Japan this year.

101.63 Million 920.81 in software for Wii based from Nintendo link for other console comparisons which is actually quite nice to see. It's already surpassed all Nintendo devices in software which is impressive.

Wii certainly had a short lifecycle and I think lack of third party games and casuals shifting towards other platforms was a big part of it. I'm really surprised hardware and software haven't dropped YOY which will be incredible for Sony going next year building momentum to next gen. A third of users being PS+ is quite inline with other's like Nintendo service which is fairly good given it's huge size.

100m reached. Impressive, as is the fact that hardware sales actually showed a very small YoY growth (+2.7%) despite being so late in its life cycle. Makes the Xbox's huge -48% hardware decline look even more dire in comparison.
