Price hike me if old.

Seeing the reported prices in Euros from the link is only for the one month subscription (+1€) 1 year/3 months is the same.

At least in Japan it's only for the 1 and 3 month-plan, the 12-month one stays the same.

Seems to be only select European countries, as UK hasn't gotten a price increase (yet?).

Japan price hasn't increased since 2014 apparently, so no outrage needed for that.

I mean, is this is them preparing for PS5... just once offer the content first and raise the price later. PS5 won't be out for a year at least.

Again? Or first time for those territories? Because the source doesn't say again.

I haven't received a mail about increase in my territory.

Is there people really paying for this? Holy shit this is getting ridiculous.
I paid 8€ for month so I can try out all the new betas this month but imagine paying monthly, that's significant amount of cash.

Crazy that they would announce another price increase before announcing any added benefits or features. Really hope they have something to announce during E3.

I'm considering quitting my subscription. I don't play online that much and their support keeps getting worse.

Lol! They're certainly not showing this money going towards making PS+ or even PSN a better service...

Heavily depends of the country, some raised only the one month price, others year too.

This crap is insane, Sony is just milking like crazy cause they can, this is OG Xbox Live all over again, dat online tax.

PS+ was £40 p/y at the start of the gen. It's £50 now. Seeing conflicting information here but yes 'again' would be applicable if it does increase, again.

Reading through PSN Profiles, seems it's the 1 and 3 month subs going up, not the year.

Some users are speculating this is because the 1 month sub was cheaper in some countries in the EU if you bought it three times then buying the three month sub, so Sony messed up last time and this time is correcting it.

I hate price increases on anything though. I hope it doesn't hit Canada, it's already 70 bucks for a year here.

why should they increase the price for PS5?

even if they add on PS5 games we still went from 3 platforms to what would be max of 2 platforms and 4 games.

I want to believe that they would eventually add VR as well going back to 6 offerings.

I don't know if they should increase the price or not but I totally could see them do it, I mean apparently they're doing it.

Are they planning to bring back 4 games or leave it at two.

It's two for now.

Thanks Nintendo for lowering the bar.

Meanwhile, Microsoft is killing it.

Games with Gold has been subpar for the last two months. And Nintendo is just shit when it comes to online features. The only thing going for PS+ is the decent selection of games every month but that's it, otherwise it's a terrible deal.

Maybe the idea is to have just 1 service that include both Plus & Now?
Gradually increasing the prices and then merging both the service to make it all look more like a great deal...?
Considering I dont play online at all, next year I will not renew if nothing changes... this is not a service for me at this point.

Still at 59,99€ here....

It varies depending on what currency your country is using, and which model you're looking at. Some examples can be found in the PSN Profiles link. Seems Countries that use the Euro currency are seeing a price hike for the 1 month and 3 month subscriptions, but the annual fee stays the same. In some other countries they've all gone up.

My most heavily used online game was FIFA, which I don't even have anymore. I might just pick and choose when to have subscriptions going forward, because I'm not really enamoured with the PS+ games either.

Are you really reacting to Sony raising the price of 1 and 3 month subs as in Microsoft killing it? That's interesting, considering they lock F2P games behind Gold and have yet to give a reason for it.

Nope, look at the OP topic, depends on the country:

Swiss here, they raised all 3 options for us:

- 1 year from 59.90 to 69.90 CHF

- 3 months from 24.90 to 27.90 CHF

- monthly from 7.90 to 9.90 CHF

less content, higher price...

Hmm interesting. To be fair 69.90 CHF is like a light breakfast in Switzerland ;). At least based on my time in Zurich. They should justify this in some sort of fashion, which I doubt they will.
