no you're not, just whatever in game tools for photos, the most you can do outside of that is rotating the picture
One of these two will be my entry. Disregard my earlier post.
I cropped it to get rid of black bars, but otherwise I only edited with the tools in photomode.

Can anyone tell me how in the world you actually take photos in Photo Mode though? Can we not actually snap a photo in-game or can we only do it with the screen capture?

Hide the photomode UI with triangle, and press the share button on the controller.
WTF some of these are insane. If you showed your kid self these video game screenshots 3-4 gens ago your jaw would drop.
I love that photo modes are a thing now. It's about time. I've always wanted the ability to freeze time in games then explore the awesome scenery and find cool compositions.

I've been craving an Escape from New York videogame for the past week. This looks very carpenter-esque. Good capture!
This is going to be very hard to impossible to police. Unless there is some blatant including of assets i would suggest minor enhancements are allowed.
Its all about composition anyway. A shit picture is a shit picture, rolling a turd in glitter wont make any difference.

if i can't trust the people submitting there's a problem in the first place. This is my 6th contest i've done. There hasn't been a problem yet and i'd be sadden if i fell for someone editing things outside of what's in game. The entire point of this is most people don't have 'Shop skills so if everyone is using the same tools it evens the playing field. It's not who can doctor up a thing to be the best or else only people in photography or gaming industry would win
Well, it would be enchancing rather than full on manipulation.
Hey, it was just a suggestion. I can see at least one here which has had some post processing done on it. I don't agree with that doctoring equals a win, due to as i said a good photo is all down to composition, however some stylistic licence to enhance that image can really make it shine further.
It was just a suggestion to help avoid potential argument.
This is brilliant! Looks like it could be right off a cover. I love it.
