It is if the change results in the game looking worse. Opinions and all that but do you honestly think the release images look as good the E3 version?
This is not going to affect sales in any meaningful way. Which is why I can't understand why Insomniac would even dignify this "controversy" with a response.

Maybe when we see some decent release images to compare we can actually say. The one in the OP is a shitty blurred image.

Clearly a downgrade. Suit is no longer as detailed. Color is all wrong. Lighting on the suit is gone.

But I loved matte. No fingerprints.
They should make CGI trailers showcasing how there are no fingerprints on shiny surfaces.

I... Man, I fucking hate the gaming community. I left Reddit for ERA because I thought it was a much more civil and contained forum, but shit like this still ends up hitting the fan. I wish I had a way to just read gaming news and completely ignore fan opinions and hate bandwagons, but I care too much about gaming to do that.
It's Resetera. People make dumb generalizations about others in every controversial thread. People are doing It in this very thread. It shouldn't be tolerated, but people do it anyway.
What's your take on the changed lighting, shadows, AO? Genuinley curious due to those being things you guys look at when comparing scenes across console and PC.
Obviously matte is a downgrade, you can see the difference and if you can see a difference it's a downgrade.
