Seems that Nintendo were saving the announcement of a Switch version for an upcoming direct, or were possibly hoping for it to be a megaton at E3.

If the Crash trilogy port runs well on the Switch then I'll definitely be getting this version. The Switch is my go to system for bright, colourful platformers.

I can't tell what's worse, announcements being hidden until Directs or announcements not being mentioned in Directs and being made afterwards (like the number of indie games we heard announced after the Nindies Direct)

Weird for it to be listed under something other than Spyro: Reignited Trilogy. Still, nice to see, even though I don't think there was any doubt it was coming to Switch eventually.

It's £35 on both PlayStationand Xbox. I hope that £40 is just a placeholder price and there isn't a £5 tax for no reason.

If it's intentional because of that... then Nintendo really needs to rethink that idea. It's way better to have a Switch version of a multiplat announced with the others than it is to save it for later for some strange reason.

Probably at E3. The game isn't out until September, so it isn't like they can't wait till the long to announce it. Plan on buying it digital on PS4, and physical Switch.
