Activision Blizzard just announced this in their fiscal call.
Rare should seriously do a Banjo Remake, or a proper new sequel.
Trailer views. The new metric!
I had to do a double take lmao, I first read this thread as “10 million preorders”
Anyway, great news! Will wait for Switch announcement and get it for that. I didn’t try Crash, but for some reason this appeals to me more.
Whatever needs to happen to get a new Spyro and Crash game in 2019 and beyond.
So happy to hear this. My sister and I preordered immediately after the trailer dropped.
Yeah game is pure hype on my end. Can’t wait.
"Spyro isn't as popular as you think"
That's cool. I guess the inevitable Crash and Spyro sequels are happening.
Good, it’s great to see the new generation of gamers experience the amazing games we had back then.
Nobody cares about Crash or Spyro.
Time to revive Croc baby.
It's like people are excited for a game they often requested to be made. Crazy. It does pay to listen to the fans.
So, are the unironically loved 90s 3d mascot platformer games to revive pretty much over, now?
Crash was never a good game... shit, wrong game. Ahem, it's just nostalgia, it will not sell a lot.
I guess you could say that demand for the game has begun to Spyro out of control.
Good. Very good.
Good to hear.
I still think it won't do as good as Crash, mainly because I think Spyro isn't as cherished as Crash. That doesn't mean it'll do badly, btw.
It would help if Sony marketed the game at their E3, but without another exclusivity deal it would be very generous for them to promote this as much as Crash.
Really glad to hear. Bring more back. We hungry.
'tude never dies
Got my preorder locked in
Good. He's the real PSOne mascot in my heart. He's so cute
Wasn't kidding when I told all my friends Spyro was my PSone favorite and I was more excited for this remake / remaster than Crash.
I'm looking forward to Spyro, in contrast to Crash I don't think they can "fuck" it up as the Crash Remaster did (physics changes, horrible sound design, worse art/graphic design in certain cases).
I was very disappointed in that one but for Spyro I have a good feeling.
A work colleague of a few years, who has previously shown no interest in gaming whatsoever is getting a PS4 for her birthday so that she can buy Spyro (“the game of my childhood”) for it.
Spyro has a larger hold on me than Crash. Don't know if I'll get it either though. I still have the old discs and all.
Hope they handle the franchise to Toys for Bob after this trilogy, as well to handle the Crash Bandicoot franchise to Vicarious Visions.
These two beloved franchises will be in a safe hands by these two developers :-)
I wonder if Microsoft is ever going to bother with it again, or if they just don't believe that the audience for Banjo games is on Xbox.
Anyway, considering the big 90s revival craze that is currently going on, it would be pretty crazy to just sit on big ips like Conker or B&K and do nothing with them.
Then I read the second line and you are absolved of all sins, my friend.
Well the most viewed Spyro trilogy trailer has 2.2 million views. Its tracking similar to Crash in that sense but I'm not sure if it will do as well.
Says alot that it's apparently doing this well based off of like 1:30 of footage and 10 screenshots. And we haven't even seen anything from 2 or 3.
Excellent. Loved Spyro as a kid and love that people are excited for this, myself included.
Time to bring back Gex, Crystal Dynamics!
Pandemonium! in 4K!
