Outside of DQV and VI. I didn't know I had to break this down to you. We had DQ games here. I mean they were called Dragon Warrior but it was the same games. Barely anyone like RPGs back then. BARELY.
I think you are missing my point - so lets just leave it at that.
There are parts of nearly every port post PSP that look kind of bad, from the iOS ports of FFV and FFVI, to the world map in FFVIII. VIII is kind of a special case and it appears that they took the wrong approach to the title (which should have been filtered emulation). In 15 years its probably these subpar ports that will live on, while PS Archives exists only on increasingly older consoles.
This right here.
I'm happy that these are coming to the west, but I'm gonna pass.Anyone take a good look at the PS4 versions of the 1-3? First impressions tell me that they're nicer looking full screen versions of the mobile ports.
Don't know if 3 has the missing T'nT minigame the mobile version excised but they all use Toriyama's illustrations for the enemy art. A YMMV change up to the classic sprites.
I think the Switch version will be based on these ports.
What is good with gamers shitting on 3rd gen console JRPGs? That was the Genesis of what you guys starting to get into.
looks like crappy mobile versions
That sucks. Man, why are mobile ports so often middling? It’s not like the hardware can’t handle better. I’ve been meaning to replay DQ3 for ages, too. I still have my cart, but have no GBC compatible hardware. Guess the search continues.
Odd, I didn't feel this way with my time playing them. I absolutely destroyed these games on mobile and it's my preferred way to play them since I can just use one hand :). I plowed through each one during my commute to work. Was a lovely time.
