Thanks! If this gets a retail release in the US and for the right price I may pick it up.3 is one of the best RPGs ever made in my opinion.
1 and 2 haven't aged quite as well.

That's cool. Are these games even any good? I think I had DQ1 (Dragon Warrior?) as a small child and hated it, but didn't give it much of a chance.
YES!
I know these aren't the best ports around, but Hell, I'll still buy them!
Last I checked the Switch doesn't play DS games.
Are they taking confirmation for a physical release because of the "one package" part?
come on. i love the DS but i'm not really gonna bust it out to play games now.
they would license the music from him most likely, i seriously doubt he's getting a cut from every copy sold.Does Sugiyama get royalties for every single download, or has it already been paid to him as a lump sum?
Don't really take Play Asia's statements about unannounced versions or details to mean anything until it is stated officially. Are they taking confirmation for a physical release because of the "one package" part?

looks like crappy mobile versions
So awful sprites, no ice cave from GBC, no monster animations from SFC, no Pachisi
Any game released on current gen consoles will be able to be played on future consoles because of backwards compatibility. For re releases I'm very definitely in the 'yes one more time is okay' camp
I don't really know where I was looking or how I thought that was there. My bad. What does Play-Asia have to do with this? That page is linking to SE Asia's Facebook page.
These are the same as the ones that hit PS4 and 3DS a couple years back which are similar to the mobile versions but better, and those were based off the SNES versions.
The NES versions game years later but generally had some nice visual upgrades, gameplay balancing and added battery backed saving for the earlier titles. DW1-2 NES especially are a good jump over DQ1-2 Famicon. Is DQ the exact same as Dragon Warrior or were there changes made for the west?
Thanks. I had only played DW on NES. I look forward to trying the OG again as DQ along with 2 and 3.The NES versions game years later but generally had some nice visual upgrades, gameplay balancing and added battery backed saving for the earlier titles. Yeah, it does. Just in 16:9 and without the touchscreen overlay.
Also an updated translation which better matches the later and current games. The NES versions game years later but generally had some nice visual upgrades, gameplay balancing and added battery backed saving for the earlier titles. DW1-2 NES especially are a good jump over DQ1-2 Famicon.
