Seems in line. Like a year after release. Same was with Battlefront 1. I mean make sense after a year.
How much later than a year would you expect the game to come into a paid service like this?
Yea normal time period
Unpopular opinion but I enjoyed the campaign. It was generic and the hero levels sucked but in third person it was still fun enough.

What they've done is now all the micro transactions are for a currency called crystals that can only be used to unlock cosmetics. Said cosmetics can be unlocked through normal play by earning credits. Lootboxes are entirely gone minus a daily crate that gives you 500 credits and box bundles (i.e. buy 3 skins for the price of 2)Nice. I was just listening some old Giantbomb clips (nothing like Jeff ranting about a "bad" game/system) and was thinking about picking it up. Slightly curious as to what the progression and microtransaction system are like now and whether the heroes still cost credits to unlock or are they all free.
It's a fun campaign! There's a few issues with pacing, specifically with the hero missions and the character arcs, but I enjoyed it quite a bit! Janina Gavankar is a really convincing Imperial Special Operative and I'd love to see more of her character.

Heroes added through seasons have to be unlocked with credits and they can't be unlocked with crystals.
Classes earn experience and level up and you earn points from leveling to unlock and upgrade star cards which are basically ability modifiers.
It depends.Thanks. Maybe I'm mistaken, but I thought Disney wouldn't allow for cosmetics which is why EA opted for mtx for skill upgrades. Also, are the cosmetics like Overwatch where it's an entirely different colored or new skin or is it just a different skin on a blaster?
Now everyone on Xbox can experience the Battle of Geonosis and Obi-Wan
Seriously. And that new map is really fun.
I feel like this should be added to the OP for all the people that haven't been up to date with this game's turn around over the past year. Minus the bit about campaign haha (not that you're wrong). What they've done is now all the micro transactions are for a currency called crystals that can only be used to unlock cosmetics. They lied so hard about how the campaign would play out.

Same, it says my trial has ended when I try launching it
