Q&A

Are all of these panels going to be livestreamed?
In a word, no. The panels in the fancy graphic and accompanying list are most likely to be streamed, but the rest are probably consigned to the land of liveblogging and tweets if folks on the outside want to know what's up. I'll link to those once I find a decent source.

So, no panels on Thursday?
Seems to be the case.

A Rebels panel, huh? Any chance of a Sabine/Ahsoka series announcement there?
Nope.

I want to re-litigate The Last Jedi and my turgid hatred for everything Star Wars post-Disney!
That's nice, but there are other places on this forum to do that. This thread is mainly for discussing the panels (and subsequent announcements) as they occur, in addition to serving as a place where any ERA members who might be attending Celebration themselves to post about their experiences.

The reservation lottery system they made up for the big panels fucking sucks!
Yeah, it does. Hopefully they think of something better for the next Celebration!

Who are these annoying people giving awkward interviews and stretching for time in-between the panels?
That's Andi and Anthony (of The Star Wars Show fame), and actually, they're great.

Why isn't [insert panel here] listed?
I dunno. Check here for a comprehensive list and here for an even more comprehensive calendar-style list that also includes events on the Fan and Collector stages.

Revelations at the Music of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace Panel with David Collins

"I had absolutely nothing to do with the score of this film," Collins jokingly reminded the audience. To him, music "enhances the story" of a film and is itself a sort of universal language. "We understand it when it is spoken to us," he explained, "but many of us don't readily speak it."

Collins' layman-friendly analysis centered in on two central compositions from Episode I. If you have your Star Wars soundtracks handy, you might do well to grab them and listen along!

Makes sense for Galaxy's Edge to show up here instead of D23 again. The land will be open by the time that happens. I'm hyped for new info

Saw this on Reddit, closer look at the Rebels part of the mural. Weird seeing them in a non-cartoony art style.

The comics and books have done realistic style for the characters.

I would've thought the fanbase would've scared Ahmed Best away from that movie. Glad he seems to be faring a bit better

When he's going to be making $80 a pop for an autograph and have a non stop line of people for it, he ain't turning that down.

Celebration is nuts, the most hardcore fans of the franchise and almost all the celebs have huge lines throughout the day. They charge insane money for it too and the fans are paying.

So what is the process if I want to go to this next year? I know this probably isnt the best time to ask, as this year is literally just starting, but I'm curious.

They usually announce the location and date range for the next one during the closing ceremony. So tune in to the livestream monday and they will most likely announce the city and dates for next year.

Edit: If there is one next year. The fact there wasn't a closing ceremony at the last one and there is at this one makes me hopeful, however.

It's a 20th Anniversary retrospective panel with some of the cast and crew:

s0t1nfx5unp21.jpg

really wish Jake Lloyd would be there, that kid did not deserve the shit the garbage part of the fan base gave him. Also one of the only actors who probably gave his time to voicing himself in 5 video games giving it authenticity in sound and feel.

pretty sure he was arrested though 4 years ago and put into a psych facility and is diagnozed with schizophrenia
