Terrible title, but even worse teaser. I think this is the worst promo video since Disney bought Lucas.

The only thing lamer than Lando showing up with the same outfit is them being so creatively bereft they bring Palpatine back

Episode VIII: "throw away the past"
Episode IX: *title is basically Star Wars: Fanservice & Nostalgia*

It's important to note that Ian McDiarmid appeared on stage after the teaser, which confirms that he is in the movie.

For those who didn't watch the livestream, Ian McDiarmid (Palpatine) showed up after the trailer ended, and said "play it again" in his Palpatine voice.

Title is dumb.

Now there are no more Jedi, only skywalkers and the sith will instead all be called the sheevs.

Not sure if hype

or if HYPE

but the title isn't very good, but who cares, we don't watch a title.

I'm irked at the implication they're disregarding Rian's great idea that not every lead in these films has to be related to a "famous family".

I hope they don't.

Palpatine is probably just a Force Ghost tbh I doubt he's actually alive.

They were already toying around with dark side ghosts back in Episode VII's production so something like this is very likely.

I loved TLJ, but it's pretty dumb to make a movie with that strong of a tonal message and then basically ignore it all in the next one.
